More Control Resonant stream today as I DO want to keep my streaming consistency going. But in, like, an hour or two. I had slow going waking up and then had a quick remote appointment.

I'm editing the next Alan Wake 2 VOD, and it's got the musical number bit. I forgot how goddamn incredible that whole segment was. An absolute delight.

GodDAMN today's chunk of game on stream was CHEWY. Mostly progressing the main story, and boy howdy, that's some food for thought. And some environmental set pieces to just drool over. UGH. Control Resonant is so so good.

You should support me instead of dumb billionaires. Your support will go toward buying every Eisenhorn thing I can find (I want his mini and the Inquisitor game dammit), plus allow me to adopt elderly bunnies to give them the end of life care they deserve. And to commission my art friends for smut.

A+ spite-project

Three years ago, my dad said that all fish are the same shape. Out of spite, I decided to draw all 478 families of bony fish listed in Nelson 2016. There's still some stuff I need to edit and some fish I want to redraw but, after 985 days, I finished my big dumb fish project last night.

I still think AI systems should be paying me 150k per copyright violation. People keep asking me 'what laws do we need for AI?' and I keep saying 'enforce the fucking ones we already have!' There are copyright laws that should be being enforced right now that just... aren't. B/c it's billionaires.

In 2016, we published potentially the largest single feature to ever appear in Game Informer magazine with a full oral history of the legendary studio, BioWare. We've made that feature available online following reports of the studio's impending closure. gameinformer.com/feature/2026...

More Control Resonant on stream tomorrow! I wanted to today, but it just got later than I wanted, so I’m just gonna focus on Wednesday/Friday streams this week!

Also, I gotta stream some non-horror games. I don’t really consider myself a horror game girlie, but… uh, you could fool me w/what I’ve been streaming. I guess I’m an “eldritch horror girlie.” Make it more weird than scary and you got me.

Saw the director’s cut of The Devils tonight! I knew very little about this movie going in (other than it being banned and censored heavily when it was released initially in 1971), and damn. That was a good movie. Visually stunning.

It is THIS FUCKIN EASY. You just don't back down. You don't roll over and go "no sir of course not sir". Stand by your beliefs and confront the assholes about their own. If more politicians would be willing to go "why do you think [awful thing] or [implied bigotry]? Tell me." What a world it'd be

5 hours later, and I am finished with Penguin Colony! Umm... I missed a LOT y'all. This game is chewy. And only $15. Highly recommend. Also, rockhopper is my favorite penguin. I mean, all the penguins are good, but rockhopper was my main bird.

Gonna play video game to distract me from the horrors of the world…. wait, okay, maybe not that with today’s game, but it sure is gonna help distract me from what is looking to be an explosive HOA meeting on Monday.

Buying this RIGHT MEOW, then after some lunch we're gonna STREAM IT. (I MIGHT just be streaming Penguin Colony, but it's possible I will swap to Control Resonant! It depends on how things go! I'm sure I'll love Penguin Colony, it's just if I love streaming it vs playing it on my own.)

Amanda Lien@alienfirst.bsky.social

OH MAN PENGUIN COLONY IS OUT ON FRIDAY!!!! We, uh, might have to forego Control Resonant on Friday to be a penguin instead. I'm sure Dylan would love penguins. store.steampowered.com/app/3695930/...

Okay, I know I said I’d stream today, but I was invited to play MtG Commander and I haven’t played Commander in AGES, so I’m gonna stream more Control Resonant TOMORROW.

I’m not quite finished with The Wicked and the Warped yet, but goddamn, it’s so good. If you want a book w/characters verbally sparring, this is it. I’ve not had this much fun reading dialogue… I think EVER. Orikan and Trazyn are a delight. I want an annotated edition of this one STAT.

Newt and Hermann all made up for Halloween. These were made for monthly stickers for Pan Pacific Iliad, which was a Patreon for fan made Pacific Rim content from various creators. ‘Tis sadly no more, but fun to be involved with while it lasted! 🎨

Spooky bunny tokens! I printed these in multiple color variations since MtG loves its vampires and wolves. I’d love to get the vampire printed with some gold foil sometime! 🎨

Amanda Lien
@alienfirst.bsky.social

And this guy was actually the first vampire bunny token I did. I still love him a lot, but he doesn’t pop as nicely at MtG card size as the second attempt. But sometimes you just gotta have fun monsterfying a lil’ guy. 🎨

I keep forgetting that, with me nuking my Twitter, a lot of my art isn’t online anymore! So I gotta get back to reposting older things. Also I get twitchy when my feed is just text for too long. I AM an artist, I swear.
