Hey hi! I’m Anders, a sound designer and composer for video games living in Brisbane, Australia:) I am the co-founder of Wield Interactive, where we make RTS and strategy games, and a long-time collaborator at @supertonicaudio.bsky.social. I spend a lot of time thinking about synths and whisky:)

I rarely use my hardware for #videogames music, so I’m trying to turn that around! Here’s some drums from the #analogrytm and synths from the #monomachine. The Vox lead is from the Monomachine, and I love how it sounds like he’s really reaching for those notes in the vibrato! Game is TFC2, go WL!

Heyo! We just released TFC2: Collapse of the Bronze Age into Early Access! It’s been a very busy period, and unfortunately I can’t take credit for the trailer musics, but if you like RTS games, maybe a bit of Bronze Age history, check it out! store.steampowered.com/app/4158610/...

A big day of announcements today! TFC2: Collapse of the Bronze Age is coming to Early Access on August 18th!😱 A story driven RTS depicting the journey of a family as they fight to survive the collapse of the Bronze Age. Very timely with regards to The Odyssey! store.steampowered.com/app/4158610/...

Very excited that @delverium.bsky.social is launching into early access on Sept 22! I’m busy writing a bunch of chiptunish+metalish music for it and having a blast. Shoutout to @andersg.bsky.social cranking out the awesome sound design 😊

"If the widespread theft of tens of thousands of Australians' creative works by big multinational tech companies, without authorisation or remuneration, is not already unlawful, then it should be." GOOD.

For those going home to visit family this weekend: • Samsung calls it Auto Motion Plus • LG calls it TruMotion • Sony calls it Motionflow • Roku calls it Action Smoothing • Google TV calls it Motion Enhancement • Vizio calls it Smooth Motion Effect.

Servonauts just released today! The team at Maxart were so supportive in my weird music ideas, and it shows! There’s such a wide palate of music genres, and on one of the tracks I got to play jaw harp, cigar box guitar, harmonica and spoons! store.steampowered.com/app/2514400/...

Remember last year when all of us on BlueSky agreed to tell all the new people that posts were called "skeets" as a joke to see if they'd believe us? Well, I'm worried that it's gone too far. We need to come clean and tell them that it was just a horrible joke. We thought it would be obvious, but lo

Some experiments with Madrona Labs’ Sumu! It breaks a sound into 64 partials, and lets you FM/AM those partials individually, then lets you move them around in a space SoundParticles style (but with a lot less control). A very cool synth that I’m yet to fully understand!

📣Putting out a call for game music composers from marginalized groups (LGBTQ+/POC) for a paid gig!📣 I’m looking for folks who can do Classical arrangements, think Cello, Piano, Victorian romantic and dramatic vibes. If that sounds like you, please reply or DM me your work! 🔁RTs appreciated🔁

A lot of the movement sounds were recorded with a skateboard, not rollerblades, actually! I taped some wireless mics and rolled around and did some ollies, and prayed every time that I didn’t land on the mics. All good, so far! Will be recording some more, though

Also at PaxAustralia: Memory’s Reach, another title where I’ve gotten to stretch some sci-fi sound design👽 I had been wanting to do more sci-fi stuff for a long time, so it’s exciting to see it out in the wild:)

I’ve been lucky to work on a few documentaries telling refugee stories. This here is Farhad, a Kurdish refugee who made it to Australia and now makes wine and spirits in Melbourne. Australia is amazing, but holy shit does it need to treat refugees better. Inhumane does not describe it.

I love my work for games, but these documentaries feel important, and I hope we can find a way for the next couple to reach a wide audience, cause these are stories people should hear.

I want to stress, also, that these docs show what happens when refugees are given an opportunity to become productive members of society. They go on to create amazing communities, express and share of themselves through their practice and expertise. Absolutely a benefit to their communities.

We spent a day listening to his story, why he left and how he eventually was released into the community. The fact that he is able to talk so eloquently about the journey, without being bitter or vengeful, is so inspiring. Such a privilege to get to be in the room for these talks.

I’m not too excited about the “this is the peatiest whisky ever” thing that is happening, but these Octomores are genuinely nice, especially the 12.2. I’m discovering that I’m really into pairing peat and sweetness.

So Orwell: Keeping An Eye On You is currently free on Epic. I did a lot of writing, editing, and production on this one, and it is the highlight of my career. Would be cool if you went ahead and played it, or told a friend!

You are up to date.
