Have you ever talked yourself out of recording a video or making a post because you’ve second-guessed yourself? That’s what we’ll be discussing on Wednesday in my Courage to Be Visible live class … why we hold ourselves back and how to change the story. Let me know if you want to join us.

I caught this otter on camera. I haven’t seen him all year and was worried. It’s one of the things I love most about living in Owen Sound - being so close to nature. This is exactly the kind of moment I'll be teaching people to notice in my workshop next week, small, everyday stories

I teach visibility for a living-and I still almost didn’t post this. Imposter syndrome stops a lot of entrepreneurs from being visible. You know - those thoughts that tell you you’re not good enough. Sometimes what’s stopping you is more basic. I almost didn’t share this photo. Why?

It shows off my double & and the roll around my middle. Even though I’m on camera a lot, the fact that I’m not thin and 20 almost stopped me today. Because visibility is not always a linear progression. Like anything worth doing it’s sometimes two steps forward, one step back.

Petition to oust Poilievre out of Stornway & save Canadians $$$ He’s been living expense free in that mansion. If CPC want to force a rejected/no security clearance career politician on the rest of 🇨🇦 then he shouldn’t be living in a mansion paid for by our tax dollars. Sign & pass it along #CDNpoli

I bet you’ve done this too. You plan a video… create a detailed outline… and try to include everything you know. Because you want to help. But what you end up with is a firehose of information. Helpful? Yes. Memorable? Not really. /1

If someone watches the whole thing, they’re thinking: “That was a lot…” “But I’m not sure how this applies to me.” And then they move on. Information doesn’t create connection. Stories do. /2

March 31st is Trans Day of Visibility. Alberta’s New Democrats will always stand together in strength and solidarity with the trans community. Trans people are not political tools or weapons. They are our friends, family members, co-workers, and neighbours.

You have to read this. Firsthand affidavit from one of the women who was there and recording the video. She talks about how Alex Pretti was directing traffic when she arrived. She watched him be killed in front of her. She's afraid to go home, worried she'll be arrested.

I'm doing a thing ... I'm launching a new podcast Dec 1—Courage to Be Visible. For coaches, healers + creators who are tired of being the best kept secret and want inspiration to be able to stand out and be seen. Real stories + simple steps to show up, be seen, get hired. Links soon. Want it?

The only thing worse than a summer election is an election leading up to Christmas, less than a year after the last election, while we're in a trade war with the US and in delicate trade negotiations with China. I intend to call my MP Monday to urge him to support the budget #cdnpoli
