🚨 Breaking - May 5th, Yahoo Mail storage sizes change. If you are at your limit on that date, you cannot send or receive emails unless you: - Free up space - Or, add more storage 👀 Yahoo says, "Stay tuned - more details coming soon."

In a decently high trust society you can leave your shoes at the entrance to the beach, then when you're done swimming come back and get them. Australia is like this.

On US tariffs, a conversation in my house. Son: Why does Trump keep doing this stuff? Me: He is bullying people and, "Do what I say or I'll punch your face in" Son: But it's more like, "Do what I say or I'll punch my face in" --- Hard to argue with logic like that, he knows what's going on.

Uganda is turning off their internet because of “risks of election fraud and incitement of violence”, etc. Sound familiar? Come up with a communication plan outside traditional networks, USA. You might need it.

AI summaries are impacting sender reputations in a fundamentally new way, signaling a new age of email deliverability. I spoke with Jake Nathan at Lifecycle Letter about this change and what it means for marketers >> www.lifecycleletter.com/p/how-ai-sum... #emailmarketing #digitalmarketing

lifecycleletter.comHow AI Summaries Are Reshaping Email DeliverabilityChad S. White on AI summaries quietly reshaping inbox control, relevance, and sender reputation.

Etsy have this really interesting lifecycle strategy - where if you become a seller on the platform, you don't open/progress from the first step after signup, they just constantly send you the same email. This is week 8, and I've received it 7 times.

Maybe your lifecycle program doesn't need to move on? I wonder what the difference is in just keeping people in 'one spot' on the journey and attempting to contact again and again.

I rebranded my #EmailMarketing newsletter (Mail Mondays), moved it to @beehiiv 6 months ago, and just activated my paid account. 👇 "All About Email" in numbers... ✍️ 24.4k Words written. 👀 11.3k Impressions 📭 Avg. Open Rate 56.2% ⏩ Avg. CTR 12.6% #EmailGeeks

The absolute state of messaging right now. I just received this into my Whatsapp chat, a random "Guest Services" account, with a USA account (I'm in Australia). The message is welcoming me to a hotel stay - but the link is neither the hotel nor a domain I know or trust.

Clearly I am dubious about this - and am unwilling to click the link even as someone who _made the booking_ and knows the details are correct for the hotel stay. What do you do here? I trust this far less than email, though I have all the tools to qualify if it's correct. Absolute mess.

Really interesting, but does it work?

Here are just a few of the many brands that used sender name extensions on Cyber Monday to emphasize the occasion. I particularly liked Chubbies' "Thighber Monday" promo for swim trunks. Learn more about sender name extensions >> blogs.oracle.com/marketingclo... #emailmarketing

The problem with a lot of email marketing content is that it ignores business strategy. When you practice doing work that comes out from an existing strategy that's fine, but when you as a marketer get a seat at the table of the business you have to produce broader insights than "make button red"

It's Monday!... Cyber Monday, but I'm still going to send out my #EmailMarketing newsletter, "All About Email", for those who might actually read it today. 🤣 This week's topic is "Breaking Down the Basics of Deliverability" #EmailGeeks Feel free to subscribe below. 👇 newsletter.allabout.email

newsletter.allabout.emailAll About Email📬 A shitty landing page for an awesome newsletter "all about email". 😉 I use double opt-in, so check your junk/spam folder for a confirmation email.

Deliverability peeps, do you know any diagnostic processes for understanding delayed deliveries at Gmail? I'm getting intermittent feedback that it's doing this for a list at the moment Domain, IP reputation are ok. Spam rates low. All I can think is send volumes are inconsistent. Anything else?

Recently I was a guest on the Validity "Email After Hours" #podcast. We had a fun conversation on all the things people try to do that are really anti-best practices... Do you send emails with re: or fwd: in the subject, where it's neither a reply or a forward? 🛑 Spotify: spoti.fi/3YzQYOF

Thousands of marketers and business leaders in board rooms right now, making an absolute guess on how to make up absolutely pittiful numbers for Black Friday / Cyber Monday - and how marketing can make their crappy product look great.

Marketers are freaking out: Businesses struggling with sales, are anticipating a slowdown & going out earlier with sales & email. BFCM is now _the_ key sales period. Consumers, tightening their wallets, are holding back on spend until last minute. The overlap is tight and short.
