Devils Tower National Monument is a striking igneous rock butte in northeastern Wyoming. Rising 867 feet from its base, it was proclaimed the first U.S. national monument by President Theodore Roosevelt in 1906. The landmark is profoundly sacred to Northern Plains Indian tribes

one of the things I love about watching others make art is the physical aspect of mental planning; the hand movements practicing a stroke, making invisible marks & measurements, before deciding what goes next. I do it too, but not everyone does. not sure if it's learned or automatic, maybe both.

En Plein Air 25 - 'Netherthorpe Road View' andycropper.art/paintings for availability So different to last night. I loved painting this. This is one of the busiest roads into and out of Sheffield, and pollution-wise you can tell. My throat after several hours of breathing there was hoarse as hell.
