There's so much to unpack but I want to focus on one detail I don't see anyone else pointing out: She spends time conscientiously citing how they didn't use AI "to make people say things they didn't say" while glossing over how they used AI to make people DO things they DIDN'T DO. That's not better.

Maybe it makes me a credentialist, but I hate how we constantly elevate guys like Yglesias — who have no relevant education or work experience. In politics, he's never run for office, worked on a campaign or served as an appointee. On policy, he has a BA and has never worked in government.

How difficult is it for you to NOT interrupt people when they are incorrect about facts? I am proud of myself for interrupting a recent 90 minute historical tour only once (the absolutely delightful guide used the wrong African place name for the early 20th century).
