My toxic trait is that I know I'm not a great singer, but I belt showtunes anyway. Today it was Fantine's Arrest from Le Mis and the title song from Phantom

Silently sang the song to myself again today to spell "angle" correctly.

Tillery@are.tillery.fyi

Literally every time I have to write/type either the word "angle" or "angel" I sing the first line of "Of Angels and Angles" by The Decemberists in order to be able to spell it correctly. Dyslexia is a bitch and sometimes the coping mechanisms we create are weird, ok?

I know that soupçon has a cedilla in it, but I still read it as "soup con" every time, and frankly, if there was a convention dedicated to soup near me I'd attend.

Manager: But that doesn't fix this first issue - teams don't have time to even prioritize it... Me: Ok so what we do is create a quantum bubble and put everyone inside of it... we just have to casually break physics and we'll be good.

Today they'd be 40.

This poem has been on my mind a lot. It seems to always come back this time of year. I wrote it three years ago. A year after we lost my sibling. I don't know if it was about that or something else, I really don't remember. But right now it is.

I love going to bed early and then being unable to sleep so then I will be exhausted anyway AND I couldve just been playing video games instead of this

Imagine if you just gave mathematicians 22 million dollars

Here's the official announcement of Parton's passing from her reps, along with the request that in lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library at www.imaginationlibrary.com

Dolly Parton, among a thousand other amazing things she did in her life, gifted over 330 million books to kids through her Imagination Library program. Her passing is a tremendous loss to the world, but you can support the program today to keep it going imaginationlibrary.com

My handwriting falls somewhere between "not great but legible" and "crap". I'm sending a lot more handwritten mail lately, and want to improve this. How does one do this as an adult? Especially an AuDHD one that is bad at failing at things...

At some point (maybe when I switched devices?) the "Require alt text before posting" setting was toggled off, and I didn't notice (luckily because I happened to remember alt text). But if you rely on the setting, double check it maybe?
