No Democrat or Republican with such staggering economic ignorance should be allowed within miles of the Oval Office.
It’s like the Surgeon General saying “surgery it just another word for murder”. It’s too bizarre to be just incompetent.
Americans are forced to sit on this bus. No one is driving.
I fear that people might be getting sick of hearing my views on the world.
So this time, an open thread for econ faculty to grade this submission on the meaning of a trade deficit.
Vets at the Cincinnati Animal CARE shelter in Ohio built a custom wheelchair with rulers, hot wheels and tape for this kitten with a spinal injury. Kitten's name is Gelato and he is doing just fine.
Cactile is a roof tile inspired by cacti that collects, filters, and stores rainwater. It can capture up to 96% of rainfall for later non-potable household uses while supporting sustainable water management practices.
This week someone targeted my family for harm with a false report. We’re physically OK, but that doesn’t mean we weren’t harmed. I am beyond furious.
Whatever your politics, this is awful, wrong, and can never become normal.
They removed CD/DVD drives from PCs.
-Made physical media harder to buy and use.
-Removed expandable storage from phones.
-Pushed us into streaming subscriptions.
-Made always-online normal.
-Made unlimited internet necessary.
-Slowly raised the price of everything.
Ownership quietly became renting.
My quote of the day
We have also arranged things so that almost no one understands science and technology. This is a prescription for disaster. We might get away with it for a while, but sooner or later this combustible mixture of ignorance and power is going to blow up in our faces.
Carl Sagan
The President of the United States is a criminal.
He SHOULD have been convicted for the crimes he led on January 6th, 2021. He WAS convicted of 34 felonies for corruption and harassment.
Yet somehow, instead of facing the consequences he deserves, he’s running the government like a mob operation.

"Please get the truth out about our son."
The most enlightening and disappointing thing to come out of this ICE shooting is that the right legitimately does not give a fuck about human life if it harms their political narrative.
Watching people malign a 37 year old mother for being murdered by her country is insane.
I've now watched the censored 60 Minutes report on CECOT. If you watched it too—and if you have any decency at all—I'm sure you came to the same conclusion I did: winning elections won't be enough; people like Stephen Miller and Kristi Noem will need to be charged and imprisoned.
People, I'm BEGGING you:
If you are going to share that leaked 60 minutes segment, INCLUDE SOME COMMENTARY in your post that makes it necessary for readers to have access to the full video to understand the commentary. CBS has a deep black eye over this and the odds that they'll look to punish ppl
We’ll be forced to drop ours. I’m self-employed in a small biz getting nailed by tariffs, too. I hate trump. He’s ruined everything in my life. I even used to have rights to my own body. Guess I just gotta get used to being grabbed by the pussy. Oh well.
Shutting down the government is a big deal. People have been hurt in big ways as a result of the decision. To have that suffering be for nothing—to re-open the government without actually having protected people’s health insurance and economic well-being—is unconscionable.

"When my uncle was president, many Black people couldn't vote, women couldn't get credit cards, gay people had no rights, and he started a pointless war that killed 970,000 to 3 million Vietnamese, 275,000 to 310,000 Cambodians, 20,000 to 62,000 Laotians, and 58,220 US service members."
Good times!
