We couldn't get get rid of plastic straws and incandescent light bulbs without 30% of voters losing their minds This guy gets away with arbitrarily renaming shit and getting rid of pennies with just crickets

This is so important. Progressives who aren't billionaires are moonshot candidates that fade away after a loss. A progressive movement has been difficult because normal people can't afford to keep going in politics

People always ask what comes after a campaign. For me, the answer was starting KAPOW. Earlier this year on Morning Joe, I talked about why campaign infrastructure shouldn’t disappear after Election Day. The people, resources, and momentum we build should stay in our communities. Here’s how:

This should be every D's response. Primary everyone who isn't out there with this message

While we won the birthright citizenship case today, we also got a grave warning about the future. Four far-right Supreme Court justices ruled against a right that is clearly written in the Constitution. None of our rights are safe. We must reign in this hyper-partisan Court.

I'd be talking about this guy over Newsom if I were someone paid to talk

Bruce will be back in D.C. on Oct. 3, as a special guest of the first-ever Power to the People Festival — joining Tom Morello to play a few songs with his band for another night of music and resistance.

Show up and vote no matter who wins, but take a serious look at Rivera in the primary

The GOP sheriff of Buffalo has assisted ICE and has overseen many jail deaths. But he ran unopposed last year (see: boltsmag.org/erie-county-...) Zellner, the chair of the county Dems, said the sheriff was a good guy. Now Zellner is running for state Senate... & got a donation from the sheriff.

It still blows my mind that Trump had openly had an affair with her on the campaign trail and the media didn't even touch it

Too much work! @schumer.senate.gov come on man even you can tee off on this. Affordability AND nuclear war brushed off in 3 words. No distractions!

Trump: “I just cancelled the trip of my representatives going is Islamabad, Pakistan, to meet with the Iranians. Too much time wasted on traveling, too much work! Besides which, there is tremendous infighting and confusion within their ‘leadership.’ Nobody knows who is in charge, including them.”

They better campaign on tearing this back down. It can be like a "build the wall" chant at dem rallies.

Bill Grueskin@bgrueskin.bsky.social

"Court documents show Trump knew he was going to tear down the East Wing at least two months before doing so, but he never told the public."

Honestly I'm fine with complex plots that require homework. If enough people keep coming out for them to make them, and they aren't going to charge me for a tutor or something in the rare chance I get to watch one - I say go for it. Reach for the skies marvel movie makers!

Director Joe Russo said it is vital to bring Avengers: Endgame back to theaters ahead of Victor Von Doom’s arrival later this year because the new footage is "critical" to the story of Avengers: Doomsday. https://bit.ly/4sGegOJ

I look forward to NPRs new series that describes results and imagines how it could happen

Gasoline costs should start to fall soon, although a full recovery to pre-war prices is expected to take months. That's assuming that peace holds and traffic flows resume through the Strait of Hormuz.

Definitely a good idea to stand for nothing on something your base is passionate about while this $300M threat doubles in 2028 after they get what they want now

For the life of me I couldn't figure out the logic behind direct vs indirect payments and was just chalking it up to them gaslighting their voters. This is absolutely what he's saying.

That's not what he's saying. He's not saying give money to people to buy health insurance. He's saying take insurers out of the picture and give money to people to pay for health care - he's saying everyone go uninsured. Insanity.

Trump: "The Public is loving ICE. They are Great American Patriots, they just happen to have much larger, and harder, muscles than most — which is what they’re supposed to have. Thank you to ICE for the GREAT job you are doing. America very much appreciates it! President DONALD J. TRUMP"

Somebody said millennials usually use their laptops (instead of smartphones) for major purchases, including booking flights. I can’t stop thinking about this.

Highlighting the speaker who stood in front of the Surprise mayor and told him to consider what the Mayor of Ohrdruf must’ve thought before he died by suicide: “He might have thought ‘how is this my fault I had no jurisdiction over this’ maybe he said ‘this site was not subject to local zoning.’”

Noticing a lot of these "the dems won!" accounts don't allow replies. I'd like to understand the motivation for Rs to come to the table when the slush fund covers their expenses for years before giving Schumer credit. Seems like another yes on cloture, no on funding scheme

If you've never seen FDR: A One Man Show it's truly ahead of its time. It's basically just Chris inventing a bunch of fake shit about FDR's life and intentionally doing the worst one man show possible.

I know some people don't want to hear from him, and that's fine. But I do. I want to hear from Biden, Harris, even GW. (Yes, intentional omissions) T came to power again by never leaving and constantly being a defiant voice 75M came out to say no to this in 2024, and we just get ghosted

The killing of Alex Pretti is a heartbreaking tragedy. It should also be a wake-up call to every American, regardless of party, that many of our core values as a nation are increasingly under assault.
