Pele is a fast, beautiful, open source renderer for Mermaid diagrams we created for the next version of Obsidian. You can already try it in the Pele playground and integrate it into your own apps! 🌋 pele.run

pele.runPele · Mermaid diagrams as themeable SVGPele is a lightweight library that renders Mermaid diagrams to SVG, themed with CSS variables.

This is Pele, my new rendering library for diagrams and charts, compatible with the latest Mermaid syntax. - 100-500× faster than mermaid.js - 6× smaller bundle - No dependencies - Easy to theme - Responsive to device width - Open source (MIT) Try it at pele.run

I've been suddenly craving football games recently so I tried the only free option: Konami eFootball (on PS5). Ball game was okay but the mobile gacha model made me puke I deleted it after one match.

Tried Onimusha demo, god I'm tired with the single-lane cutscene-heavy stage with kindergarten-level puzzles while having the player's character murmuring about the answer. Combat was pretty cool though.

I read The WoW Diary: A Journal of Computer Game Development to find an anecdote I once heard (it wasn't in there) and now I want to play vanilla again. Book was good, almost sad to read in 2026 as the Blizzard recorded in the book is no more

Well, it finally happened! After 9 years of Unity dominance, Godot was the most used game engine for GMTK Game Jam 2026 submissions. 🤖 Godot - 47% 🎮 Unity - 34% 🛠️GameMaker - 5% 🚀 Unreal Engine - 3% ✨ Other - 11%

I've been making a very small scoped game in Godot as a learning project and the time I spent on the gameplay (the fun part) and on making it a proper game such as main menu, score scene, transition, etc. (the boring part) is like 2:8

Replayed Return of the Obra-Dinn three and half years after last playthrough and found myself forgetting most part of the game. Praise loss of memory. This game is so good

LOL Steam Deck OLED 1TB now cost a PS5 + Switch 2 in Japan. That's a kthxbye if I have ever seen one

Of course it’s sold out everywhere. Back to camping Steamdeck restock notification?

asuka@asukawang.com

Ah maybe it's finally time to buy a Switch 2

Tried Zed editor for a couple of days. Native vim binding feels great. Getting rid of copilot is amazing also. But then again, it's another VC backed product and probably another enshittified future awaiting. I really hope it won't though 😔

Might still do it in the end because it's on github pages now

I once considered host my personal site on cloudflare. Now I know one reason not to.

F2P game engine, mod editor and match making platform i.e. WarCraftIII custom map + battle net as a service

Take a break from the discourse and quote this with a business you would want to start if you could afford to lose money on it

Been playing Ball x pit when my 5 months old is napping. Great brain relaxer. Want a steam deck now pretty bad.

I made Claude Code write a little program that runs on an old mbp 24/7 which detects an 11-years-old bluetooth speaker, and auto plays baby sleep music on connection. Before the workflow would be wake iPad > open youtube app > play. Now it's one button. Best application I've ever created from AI.

Only took five minutes to put my three months-old to sleep, three times in a row. Feels like superpower.

Rewriting in Rust because it seems fun. And adding Rust to portfolio wouldn’t hurt
