This is why I think it appears outwardly that once people indulge in transphobic hate, they suddenly come down with all sorts of other bigotries, but I think that frequently the hate was already there.

The way a lot of men in the anti-trans movement speak to, and speak about, cis women allies who are vocal in their support of trans people's human rights is straight up misogynistic hate. See how Papa Terf Graham Linehan targets cis women allies in particular for dogpiling and harassment and abuse.

Something I spoke about before was how transphobia is often an expression of misogyny, it gives people who hate women an outlet and sets trans women up as a class of women it's socially okay to be misogynistic towards, while also providing an ideological justification for that misogyny.
