From each according to their ability, to each according to their need. I play shiny cardboard squares and hangout with my cool cats. Sometimes I post about it. Any pronouns. Be gay, do crime. my thoughts/posts are my own.

Not denying that there is a strong moral case to not promote gambling, and then admitting that you didn't put any thought to morals, speaks volumes to his lack of moral integrity.

Varun Shankar@byvarunshankar.bsky.social

Wemby said he'd never promote a gambling company and said it was "sad" to see other players do so. Kevin Durant, partnered with FanDuel, responded Friday.

The propaganda is lazy because the writers of the propaganda are bad writers. Spending taxes to better people's lives must be examined and means tested so only the "deserving" will receive. Unlimited money for killing brown people in the global south, no questions asked (you better not question it).

Opinion: Mamdani's idea may sound appealing, but it's NYC taxpayers who will take the hit, subsidizing discounts they may never even use.

"Rather then examine the structural issues that cause Democrats to trend towards corporatism and corruption I instead institute a no true scotsman falicy" The democratic party is controlled opposition.

Allison Gill@muellershewrote.com

Rather than conclude that democrats are bad because people like Fetterman and Polis are democrats, I prefer to conclude that people like Fetterman and Polis are not democrats and they need to get the hell out of our party.

Won an RCQ at Good Games in Waterloo today. Played against titan 4 times and really liked the plan to win post board games. Affinity is a really fun deck to play. And I love to take some pretty mopals out to play.

Replying to @nerdjpg.com

I'd be a lot more sympathetic to the "I'd vote for the devil if I had to!" argument if liberals didn't also take every opportunity to insist "no, it has to be the devil!"

Look: is the West a conglomerate of fascist organs sucking the life out of the global south? Sure. & are these brutalities not abberations, but rather how the system maintains itself? Absolutely. & is this system unreformable & must be taken apart? Yes. I forgot where I was going with this.

"We predicted it" is a crazy quote when you didn't fight very hard to stop it from happening. Complicit is what that sounds like to me.

Kamala Harris: "I predicted a lot about what's happening right now. I'm not here to say 'I told you so,' but we did see it coming."

"Unless you came over on the mayflower" is a crazy line. Got me rollin

Dee Chan@deechan17.bsky.social

We are all immigrants. Unless you came over on the Mayflower. I am an immigrant to Canada having grown up in the US. America was built by immigrants. Some people have forgotten that.

"in the land of Nazis and Nazi bots I am a king for pointing out that Republicans are hypocrite, but here they don't like me! It must be the sites fault!" It's actually this that gets the engagement he so wanted, but I suppose it came with a monkey's paw curling.

Fuck this party.

Angus King: "This initial strategy didn't work. And now we have one. We're gonna have a guaranteed vote on the ACA, and it may not succeed. I grant that. But a reasonable chance -- 10, 20, 30% -- is a lot better than 0% which is where we were."

Zohran Mamdani won NYC Mayor while unapologetically: -Calling Israel's siege on Palestinians a genocide -Upholding ICC's warrant to arrest Netanyahu -Upholding BDS as a legitimate form of free speech -Demanding Palestinian self-determination -Securing a plurality of Jewish voters This is the future

Libs love to give up on having and holding positive and popular ideas that could actually affect people's material conditions and instead focus on tacking right, a strategy that barely won in 2020 and lost in 24 and 16.

I’ve never donated to Wikipedia before but I set up a small monthly donation as a fuck you to the world’s richest psychopath.

Dems love to argue over premises that the Republicans put forth, ceding endless ground and never fighting where they are strongest. Every talk of crime in DC should be directed back at Trump and his criminal administration, and the messaging from the Dems should continue to be about Epstein.

If Dems could coalesce against Republicans the way they do against the left then maybe we would have an actual opposition party. Dropping messaging that is clearly winning is what the Dems do best. Punching left when that's where the youth vote is quintessential Democrat nonsense.
