Removing barriers to cycling for people of all ages. Happy to help. Not all Green Cross course men wear a cape, some have a HiViz tabard instead. First 2 little pensions now kicked in. Still working full-time though.

Just found this photo showing our local #Petrol #Gas #Diesel prices just before #Trump started the #WarWithIran. They are now £166.9p for Petrol and £197.9p #Totnes #Devon #England #UK

Across New York City, busways have increased bus speeds by up to 60% and reduced pedestrian and cyclist injuries by up to 45%. In just a few weeks, the Bronx will get its first busway on Tremont Avenue.

They use their initial richness to reassure other really rich organisations to lend them more money, cause obviously they weren't rich enough. Seething here in sunny Devon.

Great to know that the fields are contributing so much to lowering our dependence on fossil fuels rough this minute.

Solar power is generating 46.3% of the UK's electricity right now. Only 7.2% is from fossil fuels. And so many rooftops don't yet have solar panels on them - this is only going to get better. Balcony solar panels will also soon be available in the UK: no middle man between you & the sun. 🎉☀️😎

Surely the #NevilleChamberlain response would be to ignore a large, powerful country, like, say, the #USA, invading a weaker one, e.g., #Venezuela, in the hope that they'd never do anything like that again. #IranWar. #Sudetenland www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026...

Oil prices wouldn't be all over the news today if more of our economy was powered by local, secure renewable energy. This isn't an "energy crisis". It's a fossil fuel crisis. 44% of UK electricity came from renewables in 2025. More of that plus an electrified economy => no more oil shocks.

I can't believe that she believes the stuff she's coming out with. Labour and Shabana's current position works on the assumption that there are so may racists in the UK that we have to pander to them. We won't. She knows she is lying about your motives but says it cause she and her party are scared.

Dear Shabana, Let's clear some things up around migration and remember we're talking about people's lives.

Hordes of fighting age men will be invading various Mediterranean islands when the weather gets better. Don't speak a word of the language or understand the customs of where they are, and fail to integrate, sticking to their own communities. But that's just Club Med and 18-30.

The word 'think' is doing a lot of work here. McFadden said: I believe he (the prime minister) should stay. I think he’s got a five-year mandate, which was just voted for 18 months or so ago in a general election. His task is by no means complete, barely begun.

And I also think it is not good for the country to change its prime minister every 18 months or two years is leading to chaos and uncertainty, economically, politically and reputationally around the world.

So I know this has been a difficult week, but I think we should stick with the prime minister, support him. He admits he’s made a bad mistake here. He has apologised for it, and I’m sure he will learn from that going forward.

Practical “under the bed” reality check Typical under-bed clearance is ~20 cm. At this rate:0.20 m ÷ 26.4 m/day = 0.0076 days ≈ 11 minutes In under a quarter of an hour, the bed is floating on money.

Growth rate Per day: ~26.4 m Per hour: ~1.1 m Per minute: ~1.8 cm Per second: ~0.3 mm/s So the money under the bed is rising at about the thickness of two credit cards every second

Assumptions (so we’re honest) US dollar bill thickness: 0.11 mm Dollar bill size: 156 × 66 mm Bills added: 70 million per day UK king mattress: 150 × 200 cm = 3.0 m²

Step 1: how much “money volume” arrives each day? Volume of one dollar bill: Area: 0.156 × 0.066 = 0.0103 m² Thickness: 0.00011 m So:1 bill ≈ 1.13 × 10⁻⁶ m³ Multiply by 70,000,000:≈ 79 m³ of banknotes per day
