Hello Leaflet friends and foes, we’re on vacation until next Monday! Be good, don’t break anything, @schlage.town is in charge 🫡

Just finished blindsight. Felt kinda like an homage to Solaris? I enjoyed it as a kinda stretch the mind to imagine how alien minds could be and human minds could become type exercise. Also didn't expect it to be so goofy, what with the vampires and all Overall v good, will maaybe read echopraxia

Graze this month:

Add it now to start learning what works best for your readers and adjust the vibe!

Another all timer from the GOAT 😤!

celine@cozylittle.house

Hmm? What's that? @leaflet.pub is launching a project that needs all new branding and a fresh new vibe??? gosh how DARE you threaten me with a good time

i will say, the experience of slowly building up your own social media client is just so good. I think this is just obviously where stuff is headed.

the main problem is just that its a windowing system nested inside my windowing system. so navigation is bad, shortcuts are tricky, etc. it's better than it being in the browser at least.

the version of this I kind of want is an app that makes apps that all share a standard shell (that too can be modified), that are sandboxed by default etc. hot reloading is the big ask there I think.

so far, a little clunky in the onboarding, but a positive experience, the app is working, modifying it feels fun, I think the harness (skills mainly i think) + "operating system" around it is very well considered

Found out there's a setting to remove the suggestions bar from the Google keyboard and I love it

it's survived multiple tab purges also btw, this isn't a case of me having a million open and forgetting about it

apparently leaflet was being hit by adblockers because we use the classname pubContent which is in french adblock lists as it's short for publicite ? it really is a jungle out here man

Oh also this was hard to catch as the standard ad blockers only turn on that list based on your locale settings 😭

Fuck he's right, we've been played for fools

the problem with waiting in line for a "popular" bakery in brooklyn is not that it's extremely silly - it's that it's completely fake. bread is not being *baked* for you. you are given bread for money. a line should be moving. it's intentional and so, so annoying. avoid! it's a stupid fashion!

Pls let the new kindle inspire a company I actually want to buy from to make an aluminum e reader

chat are these videos useful/worth it? I'm having fun making them but they do take a good chunk of time.

Did you know leaflet has a canvas? We recently got a bit carried a way and added a LOT to it. You can now: - DRAW! - add canvas pages to your publication - set view areas for mobile - make canvas images in posts - try it out at leaflet.pub/new-canvas check out this video for the full run down:

With a Lightbulb Computer, you can look up a word in a book you're studying, without taking out your phone or wearing smart glasses.

I got carried away and made a *lot* of canvas tweaks to leaflet... this is gonna be an annoying ass demo to record

Just finished reading BLAME! Some truly bonkers shit and some of the most incredible environments I've seen. And the whole time feeling like you're just barely understanding what the hell is happening.

it's now easy to browse an author's tagged posts and explore other things across the atmosphere! oh and if you don't want other posts showing up on your blog, you can toggle that off in settings!

This rocks! Experiments like this to help us read more together is exactly what we need more of on the internet

Just released a new @skyreader.app update with an experimental feature call Reading Rooms that attempts to recreate the experience of a book/journal club where you can gather to read together. skyreader-dev.leaflet.pub/3mvnm3f4src23
