Trade: The Colts are sending eight-time Pro-Bowl guard Quenton Nelson to the Seahawks, per Adam Schefter and me.
Nelson is on an expiring contract and the Colts get back draft capital now before they could lose him in free agency. A Colts legend goes to the champs.
American conservatives are constantly bemoaning the decline of aesthetic standards and calling for a return to tailored suits and classical Roman architecture, but are now forced to defend the Cheesecake Factory. A constant tension between the Brooks Brothers patrician and the Kid Rock populist.
small steps in learning motion.
i made this poster in 2023, a black and white design for LVGP based on the old marquees—because everyone does neon lights for Vegas. thought it might be interesting to reflect the lights of LV in the marquee letters as an update.
im trying to bring some simple motion to some past poster designs. thought figma would be a good place to start messing with the AI prompting. i always come away with the same thoughts on gAI. “this sucks. its not doing what i want. i wish i had the skills to actually make this myself”
i like social media, its the companies i hate. bluesky right now is probably the best of the bunch?
“but what about the trolls and bots?”. ive been on the internet a long time, they dont bother me. it would just be nice for one of these platforms to be run by cool people
my take is they’ve been doing it anyway, and will continue to do it. this was just an attempt to cover some legal bases. ultimately, i think removing the language is just kicking the can down the road
Football helmets can prevent devastating injuries, but they may also help make an inherently violent game feel safer than it really is.

over the past 6 years ive had the luxury (as an american) to take a month vacation in 5 of those years. i didnt in ‘25 so it feels especially good to be able to do that now. i havent used it wisely; no traveling just leisure. but i strongly believe this should be normal and available to every worker
chatter in my DJ/industry circle this Aug. was there's bout to be a stack of money from AI firms dropped on events, live music, DJ activations...even pressing AI music to vinyl
the tl;dr: AI has an image problem, so expect a lot of marketing $ on shit that's "cool" and "authentic"
the rollout...
The UK's AI minister just made a big and important admission on AI & copyright, which creatives around the country will celebrate:
"It is currently illegal to develop a frontier large language model based on the transformer architecture given the copyright position that we have in this country”.
feel free to tell me how im wrong, but im not buying the "rogue ai agents are doing stuff". 1) these companies never take responsibility for everything yet are saying their products are essentially out of control. 2) i think they're using ai to attack sites/companies and blaming it on rogue agents
i still hold the opinion that if you want your posts served to people who are least equipped to understand it but most ready to fight about it anyway, Threads is the joint for you
its hard as hell to grow a following on BS but it is still the best social media option for maintaining some sanity
"Trump’s personal imposition of his taste is a different story than that of the administration’s overall totalitarian aesthetic, which can best be described perhaps as 'free tier AI image generator with the white supremacist dial turned to 11.'"
A friend of mine works in AI and thinks bad things are about to happen. He sold his home and moved his family out the country. He said that if you own a home in a walkable San Francisco neighborhood near a taqueria with good veggie options, you should sell your home for super cheap right now.
my position on taking on work for bad products or people you dont like is generally: if you need it do it; get your money. saying no to work is a luxury most dont have and its tougher than ever out there right now. do what you must to pay the bills
AND THEN never show or tell anyone about it.
would i ever work on an AI product? no, never. thats an easy line to draw for me because i can and id rather stock shelves at Publix. but its unfair to expect others to do the same.
i just think if you need to do it and it really hurts, then dont announce it. take the money and shut up.
Notice that he isn’t worried about (nor did he quit over) the fact that both anthropic and OpenAI mobilized - deliberately or otherwise - billions of dollars of infrastructure to hack multiple systems. It doesn’t have to be conscious or actually intelligent to be dangerous. Why isn’t that worrying?
It will cost very little to bulldoze every last bit of this nonsense, and the benefits to our national psyche will be incalculable. Every serious candidate needs to be on Team Raze
i think jon Ossoff said it best: the reason Trump is going crazy with building these monuments as fast as he can is that he knows that once he’s gone nobody else is going to build anything in his name
This is a full-scale assault on creators' rights.
Countries should stand up to the current US administration, and refuse to legalise the theft of creators' work to benefit AI companies.

are these AI companies just making everything up as they go?…
Moore Creativ is now an AI company and is for sale. im evaluating it at $666 Billion. please make your best offer here thanks
with Hard Rock replacing crypto dot com as title sponsor of Miami Grand Prix, that just about does it for crypto sponsorship in F1. id have to comb through the drivers and teams to find one for sure, but they’ve all but been replaced by AI sponsors. but same same i guess
i have NO info on this but my guess is the Commanders are going to rename or have a new team logo for the new stadium in 2031. and if thats the case, they should be starting that process soon
i have a theory that office people think you’re smarter if they see you walking around with coffee. so ive been putting pepsi zero in a coffee mug. they suspect nothing.
new Calendly rebrand is the kind of thing you'd never expect people, even designers, to have a strong opinion about. its pretty average stuff. but im seeing a lot of newbies come out of the woodwork to not only agree that it is mid, but defend its mid-ness vehemently. weird stuff.
i expected 2-3 good Rivalry uniforms from the entire league and so far thats working out.
for this years batch though, shout out to the Bears for fantastic video/photo production and the Packers with the Lebeau Field concept.
Still love Mamdani, but this one hurts. If ever there was a place we could get a big freeway removal done in this country, NYC and the BQE should be it. I call it the Frank Sinatra Corollary: if you can’t do it there, you can’t do it anywhere
seen some talk about LeClerc shaking his head at Lewis after the race. my guess is its more to do with HAM not getting the move done on RUS than team orders.
but it took LEC nearly 20 laps to pass NOR in the sprint while having a tire advantage so, glass houses…
every time Indycar creates a new street track it lands about as well as a new Starbucks drink. remember when they had those olive oil coffees and blue drinks and then were like "we dont know why sales are down". yea thats Indycar
i dont think political debates need reform. its not a good indicator of who makes a good public servant. i think podcasts are though. a much better form for getting to know the candidate and their views. but of course, you need the right host to apply pressure. for 2028 i vote @kylec.bsky.social
every single person pushing this angle is intellectually bankrupt. The data centers being built today are for NOTHING other than AI compute, and are much, much larger and more destructive. If none of them got built, services like online banking, social media and streaming would continue to function.
given the incompetence of the America 250 events and the incompetence of Indycar street circuit design, this race has potential to be an all time embarassment.
now i dont think it will come to that; the track looks better than Nashville & Detroit. but my expectations are very low
id also like to put on record zro_g was approached about doing the branding / design for the race but of course we turned it down by unanimous vote.
it was almost a dream project….almost
