Happy Star Trek Day! It's not John's bday (this comic is from 2021) it's Trek’s 60th! Trek is John's fav fictional thing. @lisaburdige.bsky.social ❤️s it too (not as obsessively) so it's in many of our comics incl. in our Zelda 🏆 winning, Ringo nominated book #StarTrek60 #StarTrekDay #StarTrekDay2026

Happy birthday to Mary Shelley, born on this day in 1797 📕 At 18, she began writing Frankenstein, helping to invent a whole genre and giving us one of literature’s most iconic monsters. Not a bad legacy.

Comic Creators …Did you? @ringoawards.bsky.social

Been a tough 24 hours. 1st Dolly then Tim Curry! We’re afraid to ask what’s next?! If you’re a comic creator & need a distraction from the news, please vote for the @ringoawards.bsky.social & “Love Letters, Every Day” for Best Non-Fiction Comic Work award 🏆 Deadline’s midnight PDT RingoAwards.com

every billionaire & tech mogul, they all want to be adored & celebrated without doing the things Dolly did with a fraction of the power & money. What she had, she gave away. I'm sure she was comfortable (& that's good!). But she just relentlessly helped. It's not that difficult. Love. Care. Help. 💚🌸

Rest in power Marjane Satrapi. News of your death shocked way more than just the world of comics. Your books (which I & many others taught to classes of all ages) expanded our knowledge of the history & people of a country most of us only knew as a place of conflict briefly blurbed in newsflashes.
