So, I accidentally hit Tab while typing an email in the Gmail client today and usually it just does nothing (alas). Today, it completely rewrote my entire email using AI in the name of "improving" it. I write for a living; politely, it did not accomplish that task. I started over from scratch. :(

Mass Effect was my ultimate white whale, my all-time dream project. For the last couple years I'd been in discussion w/ BioWare & EA to take on the project & as part of that I wrote close to 20 minutes of music to explore where the franchise can go next, may as well share it!

I haven't been in many years (had to cut one, alas!) but MaMI is the premier film conference and one of the most inviting spaces in academia. Strongly recommended everyone within a stone's throw of the material they cover make it out to this conference at least a couple times.

I'm going to say a thing I can't prove here, but I do feel it's in the water. Bioware made the games under EA's umbrella with LGBTQ content. Saudi Arabia+Jared Kushner buying EA and then shuttering Bioware feels like a specific targeting of meaningful queer content in my medium, and I hate it.
