Please vote. I’m not so foolish as to think they’ll gently give up their power. I do think that a massive number against them will make that case more daunting of an endeavor for them to argue though. We need these numbers to be indisputable.

I wrote this when processing the Monolith closure to help me grieve the collective loss of culture/craft knowledge we were going through. Maybe it can be there for someone today who's in the thick of it right now. A studio without people is just a building. What made it special lives in *you.*

I know that Bioware is the big headline but let's not ignore the folks across EA who were also caught up in this wave

Incredibly mad. It is SO hard to get AAA games made with any queer rep at all, and BioWare was bold in their storytelling in this lane. I don’t know where I’ll find my next Fantasy Adventure game that lets me play and drive a narrative *like me.* Thank you BioWare devs for seeing us (and being us)

EA's closure of BioWare is transparently a vile move to shutter the studio that made by far their queerest titles. In the wake of this, I implore you: MAKE MORE QUEER ART. Make it trans. Make it horny. Make it scary. Make it loving. Make it with every inch of yourself. Flood the world with it!

God I am so fucking angry Queer folks, tell your stories. Mainstream, independent, comics, zines, games, shorts, novels, film, whatever your medium whatever your genre There are increasingly fewer platforms for them, so it is more important than ever to make sure they get out into the world

There is something so soul crushing about creating art that pushes the needle in the games industry, only to be thanked by using the capital gained from said art to push the ones who created it out of a job.

Baldur's Gate 3 and many other RPGs wouldn't exist or would have been SO different if not for BioWare. Gaming continues to look more and more... interesting for the next decade or so.

after two years of bargaining thanks to activision's stall tactics, unionized workers have authorized a strike. I spoke to them, as well as an ex-employee with disability issues who was basically forced out of the company due to the return-to-office policies the union has been trying to fight
