Day twenty-three of #mechtober #battletech and sixth day of 'Mech week is ProtoMechs. Again not my cup of tea from the first time I saw the cover for TRO3060. They don't align enough with my taste in visual 'Mech design and felt like an un-needed addition to the game.

#Mechtober Protomechs. An act of total deperation from FASA in its death-throws to get revenue. An abomination in both their appearance and in terms of their gameplay mechanics, depleting the setting and game. These exist to let you know that if there is a god, he doesn't love #Battletech, or us.

Since its #Mechtober, apparently still, and today is supposed to be Heavy Mech day, I'm going to pick the #Thanatos. Why? Because next year one will be appear in a huge art-piece I've commissioned, that will involve the #Zeus and maybe even a periphery faction. Very exciting, I know. #Battletech

After finishing a batch last night, by my count i've just passed 300 painted mechs (301 specifically). That's not counting any prepainted models, and also not counting stripped and re-painted (which is easily another 2-3 dozen lol). And my gray Pile o' Shame is only 21 mechs left! #battletech
