some favorite sketches from this year so far.

hey y'all money's pretty tight rn between car payment, student loans, medical bills, credit card payments, and rent and bills so I'm opening up commissions! bekarts.carrd.co

I spent the last two weeks painting a 60ft #mural in #Ottawa! Thrilled to have been one of 5 Canadian #Indigenous artists making this beautiful work. Higher quality shots of the finished piece coming soon 🤞

Today is Popjoy's official launch day 👀 which means you can watch my comic animated. I'll be uploading episodes as I finish them and uploading them here going forward! popjoy.app/series/deep-...

a recent headshot comm! dang i love the new dnd dragon designs, what a pleasure to draw the snakey green fellows

Do you love any of the games that I have created? Whether it's Monsterhearts, Dream Askew, The Quiet Year, Going For Broke, or a deeper cut, now would be a great time to hit quote-tweet and tell your friends about it! It's been a slow month. 💕✨ store.buriedwithoutceremony.com

a patreon reward for August! it's good to be a possum

i’m fond of this lil watercolor in my tiny sketchbook

I work at a public library. People who want to use AI seem to have no trouble doing so. People who don't want to use AI have a harder time. I crowdsourced and then finalized this document "How to disable or avoid intrusive AI" and then gave it a short URL: notoai.org Please pass along if it's useful

Okay friends, I need to start taking on commissions ASAP or I am straight up going to be living out of my car(that doesn't run 😩). I'll add context in a 🧵, but for now please share. These will be physical artworks that can be mailed to you! Sketch page: 50+ B&W 9"x12": 100 Color 9"x12": 300

hmmmm trying to decide if this piece is done yet ...

She who stole a dragon’s wings

An updated sketch of that simple and stylish suit from #Anthrocon. Thank you to @ubertoffee642.bsky.social for confirming I didn’t imagine them. I still don’t know their name, but I’ll throw this into the online aether anyway. #art #sketch #AC26

Grassy lion 🤲

If you are commissioning an artist, and want a specific pose, don't run to genAI to try and make it for you. Draw a stick person. Stick person poses are beloved among all artists. We can see exactly what you want. Do not fear sending the stick person. The stick person is magical.

Serious shoutout to furries for being the internet's #1 art patrons. At a time when interest in original and niche art is at an all time low and many other art spaces are gone, I appreciate you guys showing up to boost original works, buy art pieces & comms, & get vocally invested in stories & OCs.

Hello! 👁️👄👁️ Do you pay people to make art for you? Would you like to help me to help artists learn how to take commissions and do a great job? Please fill out my form and help me help artists: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F...

Alright, Megaplex Dealers Den haul! The standouts for me are the protogen plush and mug from @corgibeans.bsky.social, the print on the left from @goldendruid.bsky.social, and the print on the right from @beleoci.bsky.social. Still need to get a frame for that last one. Be sure to check them all out!

Suppose I should try to be mildly more active on here. I'm WriterAxis, a Canadian furry and casual writer with a small stable of characters I use in stories. My first and second favorite characters are my dragon Lacyus and my jackal Nephthys. Both ref sheets were done by @beleoci.bsky.social !

Oh jeez, it's Easter and I didn't post a bunny. Here's one! He's a little shy, but I assure you he's perfectly bullyable. (Thanks, @beleoci.bsky.social !)
