Every week, all season, I recap every game, in depth, including the biggest "Signal" and "Noise" ✅Watched every snap of every game Sun/Mon ✅~30 min+ per team analyzing/writing up Mon/Tue ✅Every player, all 32 teams, recalibrated ✅Signal & Noise bullets Pt 1: t.co/DdzHLSJu2A Pt 2: t.co/KNS3NJJYlF

Been writing about it weekly but Watson has not been good just because the Browns are 4-2. It’s been a weird season!

Mina Kimes@minakimes.bsky.social

I feel insane seeing stuff like this about Watson out in the wild. Setting aside *waves hands around* literally everything…he’s been below average at best!

Great piece, well researched and communicated

Very little chatter on my feeds about Jordan Love and Drew Lock Face/Offing earlier this summer, as reported by ESPN's Jeremy Fowler in July

I went through my lineups and realized just how much Matthew Golden I have so I’m either not going to have to pretend or will be incapable

Denny Carter@dennycarter.bsky.social

Tonight in the official app of sports we will be pretending to enjoy Packers-Falcons

One of the things that happens when you take an undervalued guy as your WR5 in basically every league and then he hits is you realize it’s kinda nuts to have him in basically every lineup

It is BOOK LAUNCH DAY Holy moly. I'm nervous. But we also did a TUESDAY podcast! @bengretch.bsky.social joins and we each count down players We're Worried We Might Be Wrong about... in advance of your upcoming fantasy drafts! It's fine. Everything is fine. 🤮 (link is 👇)

I wrote over 1,000 words breaking down where to rank Mike Washington in the event Ashton Jeanty was out for the season and published it about 90 mins before Schefter’s sprained ankle news. It’s really good!

Patrick@patrickkeefe.bsky.social

@bengretch.bsky.social Ben is the type of hero who will, on a moment’s notice, do an actual deep dive into Mike Washington. 🫡

I regret to admit that I too like Canada (but don't tell my Canadian friends)

Denny Carter@dennycarter.bsky.social

I hope the Canadian folks on here know there are millions of Americans (like me!) who adore and respect their country and love the shit out of French Canada

It’s always so much fun to look into the crystal ball and guess next year’s first and second rounds in ADP with Shawn. Our favorite show of the year.

I did a thing. It's six years of evergreen writing from my newsletter, and it's over 800 pages long. It's not rankings, or a draft guide for this year. It's a how-to guide for fantasy football. You can buy it here: bengretch.lemonsqueezy.com/checkout/buy...

AMAnnouncement #3 ... STACKED League was one of my favorite things we've ever done as a community. $10K+ for charity. Transparency, education. It was so fun. We aren't running it back this year but I'm excited to have all STACKED managers and contributors join us as part of AMAugust!

It's a Tuesday podcast -- I'm previewing training camps of the NFC West with @bengretch.bsky.social! We'll talk about the camp stories we'll pay attention to, and ones we'll practice #ClickDiscipline on -- -- and independently arrive at a super-deep sleeper (no, not Kittle)! (link is 👇)

This tournament has been defined by goals and fun attacking play… except against Spain. Everything going forward against them gets cut off. On another level defensively all tournament.

All right guys, I would love your assistance. I've posted a 10-minute video recapping the extent to which Jeff Pearlman's Ruben Rivera video plagiarizes the visuals from my own video on him from 2021. There are 23 instances in which his editor lifted from me, and you can see them all in this.

One of my grandfathers went by Dick and we have a burger chain up here called Dick’s I grabbed for the fam after my daughter’s softball practice last night so Dick Dick’s

Dave Lack@davelack.bsky.social

your baseball pitcher name is your grandfather’s first name and the last thing you bought. Mine is Lyle Sundae That is actually pretty good and plausible. 🙂

Always essential reading

Soccer feels like the sport with the largest gap between “letter of the law” and “spirit of the law” when it comes to things like this. Then, when you introduce more and more VAR, it causes issues where infractions are punished with a maximum efficiency that feels wrong

But it happens in every contact sport. Athletes feel phantom contact. Shai does it 75 times a game. We don’t throw out WRs for trying to draw DPI. I understand the idea of red cards for player safety & obvious goal-scoring chances, but the series of events we just saw is an offense to competition.

aoloughlin.bsky.social@aoloughlin.bsky.social

I’m all for giving the refs more discretion and eliminating this, “automatic []“ nonsense. It’s the same problem I had with the Flo suspension. But also, that was a flop and we need to punish flopping.

The concept of a red card and playing down a man has logic. Now we’ve added VAR and people are mad it takes so long, so if you go to it, it has to be worthwhile. Now we take some discretion out. And suddenly we’re kicking a guy out of a WC QF for a dive at midfield. Absurd. Nonsense.

None of my opinion changes that he shouldn’t have flopped. But referees have discretion for stuff like that, and typically wield it well. When you take away discretion, you create silly outcomes. That’s all my point is.
