For those keeping score, Bellingcat, The New York Times Visual Investigation Team, & Washington Post's Visual Forensic team have all published analysis showing the ICE shooter wasn't in the path of Renee Nicole Good’s vehicle when he shot her, contradicting statements by the President & his cronies

Chiitan loves good transgender people🏳️‍⚧️ In today's world, even making these kinds of statements will get you slandered, but I think it's more important to create a world where transgender people can live peacefully and be themselves, so I will continue to send out messages until my account is deleted

The numbers out of the UK on age-verification are devastatingly bad. A quarter of Britons are already using a VPN. And 22% have downloaded or considered a VPN since the OSA went into effect. 60% say it will increase government censorship. More than half say its making children less safe.

The issue with AI altering old movies that really sticks in my craw (beyond the obvious) is people chirping that they are just doing what the original filmmaker/creatives would have wanted. I hate hate hate people digging up the corpse of a beloved artist and playing TCM Weekend at Bernies

Why read books? Because there's a book for EVERYONE out there. And once you find the right book - reading will change your life forever! #literacy (Art: Charles M Schulz)

Google Drive/Docs eating people's work if it's wrongthink is exactly why I never considered it as an alternative to MS Office and went with the non-cloud LibreOffice. I realize no digital storage is foolproof but this at least has a fighting chance.

They think the people who write in Google Docs are the same as people who code, in which I frequently now get 10 lines of irrelevant nonsense suggested to me Absolute idiots 🤦‍♂️

The new Google AI functionality in Docs is total mind-ruining shit. Hit enter in docs, it takes over your cursor to offer to help you write. Every. Time. You. Hit. Enter. Do you know how annoying that is when you are writing something? It's someone interrupting you every minute. MAKE IT STOP.

At first I thought this was incredibly creepy, and then I realized something intriguing. So I'm composing a novel in Google docs, as I am wont to do. And suddenly the AI assistant Gemini pops in (annoyingly) and summarizes my work in progress. It was eerily accurate. (1/5)

Just wanted to get this kinda obvious idea down in my own words so I can refer to it. I think a lot of the political dynamic in the contemporary west arises from the interplay of two forces - which basically amount to voters wanting the impossible. sootyempiric.blogspot.com/2025/04/more...
