"If you're not embarrassed by your first release, you shipped too late." 4.5 years later, here's mine. Teamgrid: one home for the team sheets every team reinvents (holidays, skills), living in the tools you already use. Curious where your team keeps this today. 🔗👇

It surprises me to still see apps having `ngOnChanges` used. Please switch to computed signals; signal graphs are much, much easier to reason about than imperative code #Angular #Signals #TypeScript #WebDev

Bit late, but it’s been a warm few months. If you haven’t already, this would be a good moment to test your house’s heating before it really gets cold in the northern hemisphere!

Does anyone on your team actually know who's in the office this Thursday? Or who's off next week, who's on holiday, or what capacity looks like next sprint? Where does that live for you? A sheet, a wiki page, or just asking in chat every time?

I am really appreciating these days weather wise. Crisp cool mornings, perfect for sports or a cup of coffee in the garden. Warms up nicely throughout the day with some sunshine. Slight breeze. Dutch summer as it was supposed to be. Loving it.

Node excitement 😉 Congrats to @marcoippolito.dev on making it official: type-stripping in Node 25 is now declared to be stable 🎉 You can run: node index.ts The capabilities have not changed since Node 24. This is purely a maturity indicator.

Y'all have no idea how moch code this is going to replace (assuming we drop the idea that we're still shipping for IE9).

CSS by T. Afif@css-only.dev

Do you want to see more cool stuff using modern CSS? This time, the tooltip will consider all four positions, and the tail will always point to the anchor. 👀 css-tip.com/tooltip-anch... Still 100% CSS magic! 🪄

I did a thing.

🔖 "feat(forms): add support for pushing an array of controls to formarra… · angular/angular@c353497" https://github.com/angular/angular/commit/c353497a01776cd702af6c5136fdae5fc6ce94d5

Apple’s WWDC summary: - Glass design coming back (ok) - iPad learning from what Mac has done right for years (awesome) - MacOS power users will get some more cool tools and QoL fixes (cool!) - MacOS Tahoe (ok) - Apple Intelligence coming to more then US. Kept their promised a bit more level (good).

Little addendum; some interesting features for the iPhone that’ll detect possible scam calls, and don’t show missed messages from unknown numbers by default. Might clean it up a bit! Nice.

Introducing Bases, a new core plugin that lets you turn any set of notes into a powerful database. With Bases you can organize everything from projects to travel plans, reading lists, and more. Bases are now available in Obsidian 1.9.0 for early access users.

📅 Reminder: Node.js 18 is scheduled to reach End-of-Life on April 30, 2025. We recommend that you update to Node.js 20 or 22 as Node.js 18 will no longer receive security updates once it reaches End-of-Life.

I built this! I was thinking of approaching GitHub bot comments as *UI*, and had to stretch the limits of markdown. Hope this sets an example of rich bot comments.

If AI is producing code for you that you understand or it's basically writing what you know and it's just saving time by writing it out, that's fantastic. If your goal is employment and it's producing stuff you can't even talk about, then you are sabotaging yourself and potential opportunities.

Sometimes when I'm looking at the codebases I forget which one I'm reading. It's actually very disorienting at times.

If someone in the TypeScript world wants to really drive the point home, a way would be to open checker.ts and checker.go next to each other and show how similar they are. It's uncanny. This was the right move.
