Ann Burrell’s passing has affected me deeply. Never knew her, but she was one of the “celebrity” chefs who exhibited her skill honestly, authentically, and with passion. Made me want to get in the kitchen. One couldn’t help but appreciate her presence.

If you are an ICE or DHS or whatever the fuck agent and you feel you have to wear a balaclava to hide your face during plucking someone off the street for fear of retaliation, I’d love for you to engage in a few moments of self-reflection.

I don’t do politics on social media. But I do look at the Trump administration and wonder: “why is everyone just an asshole?” Like for real. The way every person in the admin addresses others. Just assholes.

I do not cry wolf. LLMs have limited utility, but having likely one of the worst of them “assisting” government employees is beyond alarming. Me and @nycbosslady.bsky.social did a thing.

The DOGE just deployed an AI chatbot named GSAi to 1,500 federal workers with zero oversight. Our open letter to Congress asks the tough questions. AI without ethics is just automated incompetence. Read & join the fight www.fusioncollective.net/oltc/

I’m seeing this more and more—on any number of topics, that showing emotion is weakness. It absolutely is not. Caring is t weakness, expressing your feelings is a core part of being human.

there are plenty of fair criticisms of me but the one that actually annoys me is when people treat me like my anger about a situation reflects poorly on me somehow, that being emotional about the completely collapse of our democracy is somehow gauche and invalidates whatever i'm saying

I am thinking, maybe the people who need to blow up a rocket 38 times to get “data” before finally learning how to, on occasion, land something back on earth without incident… maybe these aren’t the right people to make “improvements” to air traffic control.

It’s becoming a real challenge to figure out how I want to manage my social media presence in my new meta-free life. I feel like the “every day is a fresh hell” angle is getting played out.

FFS can I just take over the DNC? It’s not hard. Make them own it all. Give them nothing, no quarter, no room, no bipartisanship. Stop sniffing your own farts and learn the art of active non-participation.

I’m seeing a lot of discussion about congestion pricing in which people say that “it’s a good first step.” Assume I stipulate that as fact. What’s the second step? And when do we expect that to happen?

Okay for all you playing South for new years and making black-eyed peas and collards please know: collards ain’t no al dente affair. That shit ain’t kale, go ahead and cook ‘em good. Get the pot likker. Thank me on the 2nd. #food

Not a lot of #craftbeer traffic here on #bsky. Makes me wonder—industry in near-fatal decline, looking for customers, still talking to the same tired old audiences.

You are up to date.
