a week flashed by leaving me 5 days to ink/line 20 comic pages, wish me luck!! 👏😩

"a TTRPG with Roguelike elements"- buddy you have an event card deck, that's a board game

earlier this month I committed to doing a minicomic challenge of 4-8 pages; about a week ago I finished roughs for 19 pages (with intent to insert 1 more page for clarity + achieve a round 20); it's about DOG NUNS wish me luck with lining + coloring(?) it in time for halloween posting 🎃

"Get in, bitches, we're going WALKING!" We had a fun time with #BigWalk 💖 (Art credits left to right: @cyborrrg.bsky.social | @laiska.bsky.social | @blankd.bsky.social | @kawaiiguignol.bsky.social )

it's so frustrating when you find a manga that does so much right but what it does wrong is VERY obvious and a little TOO frequent 😭

another webcomic platform exploding!! 💥

I'm petty enough I -WILL- change a character's name if one of the first results is too close to the name of a genAI tech scamup

there was a time where I wished I was a professional [redacted] but based on how most of them act online, I dodged a bullet the sycophancy masquerading as professionalism, the cliquey drama- and that's not even talking about the dogshit pay OR the rampant sex crimes!

people being bad at defending indie projects is tempting me to make an infographic but that risks cursing me with an infinite supply of annoying people who cannot read (or think)

it's been several years since I did anything comics related 🥺 (and if anyone has any good *FREE* comic fonts to rec, please share, I don't want to use CSP's comic font)

“In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.” imaginationlibrary.com My little nephew, also a recipient of books through this program, has treasured all of the titles shown below, and I hope that many more children can continue to benefit 💖

I need to be more secure about my ideas "oh no I'm referencing fairytales, I'm a hack :(((" meanwhile there are swaths of webnovels flaccidly replicating videogame minutiae

not happy about arranging my cat's euthanasia, she had a great run (+17) but she can't keep food down and is throwing up bile along with her food when she tries *she's zooted out with her arthritis pain meds so she's ok for now

TIL I've been spelling and saying alraune utterly wrong, I've been spelling it alarune and saying it "ah-lah-roo-ne" for YEARS 🫠🫠🫠

"you'll never guess what happens to this pair of characters" said the lord and knight romance pervert initial design roughs for: (1) Etto, a puppet mage, (2) Nine, a knight responsible for shadowing Etto. I'm trying to get back into posting more art, forgive the rust

Please do not apply to Shortbox Comic Fair. Here's a thread:

I have failed my geriatric cat- she found a centipede in the house and while getting items to deal with it, it disappeared 😔

happy bday to me, my present is I will not fret about missing the jam deadline and finish the project the right way if people really enjoy toxic yuri they'll find it without the jam (the jam visibility boost would have been nice, but I'll settle for Organic)

anyone else have this issue where bsky keeps resetting language prefs to ONE LANGUAGE instead of leaving it at "all"

(toxic yuri jam rambling) I have an armored character that's going to lose their mask so I have to design something that is cohesive but also Unsexy On Purpose and in my bones I know I'm going to arrive at something stupid (but not too stupid) wish me luck~

LRP: *ANOTHER* resource/forum pointlessly being nuked!! 🫠

RPG Maker forums are being shutdown, no plans for even keeping them in read-only, priceless information/help that has been accumulating over years will be gone. "Want it? just make a backup". forums are still one of the best tech knowledge sources. forums.rpgmakerweb.c...

character growth(???) a game jam was exploding in feature creep, so I am falling back on a locked room setup and 2 characters

LRP: fuck my life, now I need to make a new master redirect link

IMPORTANT: For any artists/writers/etc etc, using Linktree to point people to their work, from 5 July, they'll be feeding all imagery you use on your landing page into DALL-E by OpenAI. I deleted my account this morning.

make sure your NSFW filters are set to "warn" instead of "hide" because who knows how and when someone will be nuked without you knowing b/c bsky's automod is bullshit

writing tip: write like your characters have a knife that they use on other characters. the screaming is the point.

the amount of media leaks as of late is absurd, the sheer entitlement and impatience to *not even wait for something free* is mind boggling

KS capitulating to puritanical card payment processors isn't surprising but still disappointing

back from my trip visiting diff parts of europe* and getting to see the tulips (keukenhof) *the netherlands, belgium, luxembourg + technically france and germany since I got to visit the schengen museum

I'm sorry did I miss something, have joyless puritans moved the convo so much that noncon and dubcon are NO longer considered vanilla fetishes?

Social Media is not a diary, it is FORUM and sometimes there are PUBLIC EXECUTIONS

crazy how a shitty day can be salvaged by making a good ol' subwich at home

last mess of a thread posted at the encouragement of my brother who is sometimes audience to my [niche topic/hobby] rantings
