Louise Weard’s castration movie part 2 is some of the most upsetting and harrowing 5 hours in indie cinema, I’m deeply upset a day after watching it I want to hate it for being so fucking grim but I can’t bc it’s achieving its purpose in making me feel like shit

help everything went wrong this morning so I’m doing my makeup on the train and this group of gammon sat down and the guy sat opposite won’t stop winking at me and making jokes about me doing his makeup help or end me

Trans women are routinely sentenced to sexual slavery and rape for minor crimes of survival, but I'm glad we are finally tearing down the carceral complex and retributive justice in the form of... checks notes... criticizing people for not forgiving some white guy rapist with a massive platform?

What about restorative justice for rape victims? Could we talk about that? Maybe we could talk about how getting raped causes trauma responses and mental health crises that you get punished for for the rest of your life, but rapists apparently get to just have a good job and become a better person

the right for rapist men to keep their political career/celebrity status/youtube accolades above all else huh rehabilitative justice means no consequences of any kind for my blorbo

One of the most frustrating things about the Jacob Geller situation is all the people I've seen (mostly on Twitter) going "why don't you want him to keep his career, people can grow and change, I guess you don't believe in restorative justice🥺" I will kill you

you know it’s actually fine to stand up for trans rights for the sake of trans people, and you don’t always have to connect it to broader ideas of bodily autonomy and gender roles right? like, stand up for trans rights or it’ll also hurt people that matter!

you know, it's honestly almost refreshing for one of these to just come out and say "your rights are a luxury" instead of pretending to believe in them

"I'll take a pogrom over auschwitz" has to be the most grim, miserable sentiment this fucking cursed site has ever produced

Comrade Cletus@whitetrashlibturd.bsky.social

The dude misspoke about what’s seemingly a consistent dem opinion and it’s now “we’ll take the guy who is pro pedo and wants to murder trans people in order to spite “2 sex, many genders” guy. I’ll take a pogrom over auchwitz. Pragmatism and nuance are dead sadly.

doctor: are you currently pregnant? me: no doc: well…I’ll put not applicable. Just calling it like I sees it really? for foot surgery, you need to note down my trans status/ability to get pregnant? not whether I’m pregnant but whether I’m cis 🙄

If you think this is in any way defensible consider this do you think he puts “not applicable” for women who have had hysterectomies? does he ask cis women if they’re on birth control? if their ovaries are intact and functional?

this post is about rosa parks, brought up in defence of Harry Potter fans as an example of someone who didn't make waves, cared about optics, and didn't inconvenience potential allies rosa parks, made famous during the MONTGOMERY BUS BOYCOTT, did not ask people not to ride busses 🙄

you have to understand, this isn't just a stupid, wrong thing to say and an opportunity for a quick dunk this is the essence of people who spend every day lecturing trans ppl to stop fighting, it's bad optics, you're upsetting allies, just roll over and die entirely unearned smugness

"i'm just a normal woman" well guess what sister there's no such thing. when womanhood is defined in relationship to manhood, you're barking up the wrong tree trying to find an external authority that will validate you. you might as well put on the dog ears and go start barking with everyone else. 🐶

i never expect much from cis people, but i always find it a little baffling when a trans person doesn't understand why a fellow trans person might have a complicated sense of self that they explain through varying degrees of metaphor and abstraction. my siblings in gender, all of this shit is silly.

ost something random (i defined as the first thing i saw in my camera roll that got a surprised/forgot-it-was-there chuckle from me) and i promise you, your september will be at least a lil bit better than it woulda been if you hadn’t posted it 💙
