Spent three days trying to write the most fucked up palindrome sentence possible. Behold: A sorry tramp art I, torn mad on urine’s ire—vile nob stink—tired da’ adder—it knits bone live risen, I run, O damn rot, I trap Martyr Rosa

No I really was. Watching kids having trans joy over and over broke through the extremely thick walls I made against my own transness. I owe those brave kids everything and I can’t even express the heartbreak I have for how we let them down.

You know, fuck it. Yall can still call me Ness cause it’s not the chosen name I’m abandoning and I still go by it a lot, but my name’s Tommie. ❤️

Realizing now that me being cagey about sharing my name on here means this post doesn’t really land it’s “my name is not normally a girls name” point that I’m making.

This is 100% true and every single one of us should feel our skin crawl at the moral weight it puts upon us. We will never ever clean the blood away but the very least we can do is fight to break the machine that put it there and ensure it never, ever happens again.

The blood of dead trans children stains the hands of every cis person.

A part of this not mentioned is that Texas used to let kids transition. I volunteered at a camp for trans kids in Houston when I was in college (pre transition I know I know how did I not know I was trans). Guess where part of that camp was? Texas Children’s. That’s how much we lost

its insane how not many people are talking about how republicans with the help of several moderate democrats are building out the largest abusive medical conversion therapy operation in modern american history

The important distinction is that Dems aren’t fighting for rights we don’t have, they’re fighting (if indeed they are and not just sentencing us to death for our inconvenience) for rights they LOST for us. Things were better for trans people a decade ago and it’s their fucking fault it’s worse.

The Loch Ness Monster@nessiopeia.space

The reason it’s like this is because republicans latched onto it as a way to make fun of democrats and instead of standing up for us the party had collectively dragged their feet or actively resisted helping us. Talarico is running partially in a platform that would ban the care I saw in Texas.

There was so much to hope for being trans in 2011 even in Texas and it’s all gone, it’s all gone because every cis person decided to shouldn’t exist. It is collectively their fault that we don’t have a kinder world, and that the kids that need this care will in many cases die from lack of it

Someone’s gonna come on this and say “no, republicans did this.” At the time Im talking the reason supportive parents even had the option to get that care for there kids was conservative judges in Houston who were parents rights. It wasn’t a bipartisan issue in the same way it is today.

I’ve tried every hair produce on the market, done no shampoo for a year, every trend, every treatment, the works—blow dry; no blow dry; curler; hairspray: etc. etc.— and after all that I can genuinely say that the key to pretty hair is $10 shampoo with sulfates and a consistent HRT regimen

Just your daily reminder that thinking you can choose who you fuck and that there is a right or progressive choice inherits from political lesbianism that birthed the modern TERF movement

The general sound system for the mall I work in seems to be playing from a playlist of all covers of “don’t fear the reaper” and I’m pretty tickled by how deranged that is

Just your daily reminder that thinking you can choose who you fuck and that there is a right or progressive choice inherits from political lesbianism that birthed the modern TERF movement

Specifically, it inherits the idea that there’s a most progressive way to be a woman that extends to our sexuality that may then grants us rights, and not the real point of feminism to ensure that all women of all sorts get rights

Trans people need reparations for the time, labor, and money required for figuring out a person to be that feels right

If you read the reporting on the Last Ditch Bar and didn’t stop, saying, “this isn’t my business.” you should confront the evil in your heart. Repent and be forgiven; find a better path.

The only lesson to take from Last Ditch Bar is that reporters like Annalisa Quinn that jettison private citizens and community issues to to level of national news are evil and should be cut out of a kind society and that queers should never speak with journalists under any circumstances

The reason “male socialization” and the idea that trans women are new to oppression is so insidious, is that it implies that we chose to give away the convenience of male privilege and that we some how wasted it / maintain some advantage from it, which is not only baseless but deeply transphobic
