Please book me for a freelance edit for your query, first ten pages, or manuscript so I can go take my boyfriend to see You Can See Everything. I've edited authors you know and love on books you've probably read and didn't know I worked on throughout my eleven years in publishing. bookmarkobrien.com

I did take, like, twelve years of Spanish class from first grade onward. In third grade or so, we were required to learn another language, but my school didn’t have any Spanish teachers, so we watched Spanish 101 VHS tapes and called it Spanish class. I wish I was kidding.

I'm booking freelance edits for full manuscripts as soon as October. I've worked in book publishing for eleven years at places like Writers House, Triada US, Stonesong, Entangled, and NetGalley, and I have edited #1 best sellers and major award winners. Reach out here! bookmarkobrien.com

Me, a literary agent who does not read nor represent horror novels and thrillers, says so on his agency’s website, and does not include those genres as options on his QueryManager, when checking my queries every day and seeing more horror novels and thrillers: “Oh.”

Dolly Parton, among a thousand other amazing things she did in her life, gifted over 330 million books to kids through her Imagination Library program. Her passing is a tremendous loss to the world, but you can support the program today to keep it going imaginationlibrary.com

Impressed (derogatory) with the gall of querying writers who do not follow any of my submission guidelines but do, regardless, feel entitled to follow up with me every single day, sometimes more than once a day. You better twirl those red flags.
