Focusing on the positive this Thanksgiving... #2. Here I am with 4 of 6 amazing grandkids (somewhat cropped, as these kids had the wiggles and zoomies.

Focusing on the positive this Thanksgiving. Here is one. Stella and the BEST Ball. She found this ball. All by herself. At the conservation area. It is red. Did I mention IT IS THE BEST BALL!! It must be with Stella at all times. One never knows when a game of ball-throw may occur.

My partner had been away from the media stream lately. Surreal to explain to him that the FBI repealed the automatic dismissal of recruits engaging in (check notes) BEASTIALITY. He did not believe me without the receipts. New FBI slogan "Join the FBI, where men are men. And sheep are nervous"

This is no minute, there's no going back to what once was. If you really want a fulsome deeper understanding this is worthy of many minutes. Voting Dems back in doesn't matter, what is broken will take decades to fix if 🇺🇸 has the will to do it. 👇 kevinboucher32.substack.com/p/canada-isn...

kevinboucher32.substack.comCanada Isn't Turning to China. It's Doing Something Much More Dangerous. The fight over Canada isn't about trade. It's about whether a sovereign country can diversify its way out of dependence — and what happens to American power if it does.

I am increasingly losing faith that the USA will ever return to be a good global player and ally. The manipulation of elections, markets, and media is so profound--it is breathtaking. There is a fundamental acceptance of unkindness. There are no checks and balances. I am grieving the loss.

I am just able to process. My mom passed July 3rd. She was a practical woman--she could bake like a pro, knitting and crochet perfectly. Every craft she tried-she mastered. She loved bingo, her family, and being the center of our family universe. She was my first teacher. I loved her-very very much.

I took a hard look at the financial donors to ICE’s biggest supporters in Congress. These are people who want to significantly expand ICE’s power and have sponsored or co-sponsored legislation to do so. Here are the top 25 consumer brands bankrolling the biggest ICE supporters in Congress:

This feels like my dad passing away all over again. Sleep well Mr Hunter. You were very much loved.

👏👏👏 Calgary Mayor calls out PP

Jeromy Farkas@jeromyyyc.bsky.social

It's time to cut through the bullshit about the Cowboys tent. Stampede succeeds because Calgarians welcome millions of people into our city. That goodwill matters. Bad operators do not get to treat neighbours like garbage and damage the reputation of an event that belongs to all of us.

The stereotype of the brash, loud, aggressive American has never felt more true to me. The acceptance of bombing places of the American population is horrific

Happy mother's day. But especially if you dont have a mom because she is gone. Or no/low contact. Big mom hugs. If you need... take another. If you need to hear this from a mom: YOU are a gift. You are amazing just as you are. Even if you are broken. You are enough, just as you are. Love mom.

A journalist’s investigation leads to a chilling discovery: in residential schools, malnourished children were deliberately kept hungry for research. The story broke, then faded. Years later, its full scope has resurfaced. https://ow.ly/PSwV50YPwH3

Just a thought: How about we stop shaming the poor for buying things that may not be essential, and start shaming the rich for making a profit off things that are essential?

Feel quite please with myself. I took a decidedly bland rice and hamburger dish the spouse made and taa-daa! Baked burritos that were a hit with all! Defending garbage meal queen, many year running!!

A special Valentine dinner was a starter of smoked salmon and herbed cream cheese. Followed by a main of New York strip steak, fondant potatoes, and peas, with bernnaise sauce. Dessert was a decadent caramel apple cheese cake. All served on my grandma's best China

PERSONALLY, I consider any Canadian or international who voluntarily enters the US at this point to both be immoral and complicit in the dismantling of democracy and threat to our country. And NO--this is not an extreme view
