TanStack Start 1.0 is officially stable! 🎉 A full-stack web framework for React and Solid, already used to build millions of apps, from Fortune 500 companies to your favorite tools and weekend projects. tanstack.com/blog/tanstac...

If AI writes the code, does your framework still matter? Does Solid vs React make a difference? I think so. Join me online with TechTank TO on Oct 22, 7pm ET: one @solidjs.com app built as an SPA, a sync engine, live server components, and zero-JS HTML. luma.com/techtank-fra...

luma.comSolidJS: The Framework for the AI Era | Online Event · LumaEvent kicks off at 7 pm EST. There's plenty of debate online about whether UI frameworks still matter now that AI writes more of our code. If an AI is…

I've finally been able to put all frontend solutions on the same grid by recognizing them as a product of 2 axes and 3 core responsibilities. HTMX, LiveView, RSCs, islands, SPAs, Sync Engines... None express what another can't. They differ in efficiency and ergonomics. 👇

Next.js 16.3 Instant Navigations lets you balance reusable content with fresh or personalized data while keeping navigation responsive, like a SPA. I built next16-airline.vercel.app to try this in a common multi-step flow. See the source and learn more below ↓

Another tease of the @e18e.dev framework tracker is our improvement-over-time page for each framework. We record each major and minor version for every test. Picking on @solidjs.com here, but look at some of the improvements in version two for SolidStart. SSR First Paint and Build Times:

Great article! I don't want to think about how many hours I spent fighting derived state in Angular/VueJS/React, and SolidJS has the defaults I wanted all along. What are the little things you love about the framework/library of choice?

I got made redundant this week. I'm a very passionate web developer. I got very used to wearing many hats from being fullstack, to sys-admin, to technical lead. DM me

langflow. bun. ant-design. nuxt. vue. mermaid. pnpm. trpc. Over 600,000 GitHub stars between them, and CodeRabbit reviews it all, for free. Next stop: more than $10M into OSS over the next year, counted at what it costs us. Heres the how and why 👇 www.coderabbit.ai/blog/codera...

coderabbit.aiCodeRabbit commits more than $10 million to open sourceCodeRabbit is committing more than $10 million of its actual direct cost to open source over the next year through cash sponsorships, free Review and Security, and broader agentic support across the software development lifecycle.

Great blog post! I can relate so much to this: there's more contributions to Svelte than ever, yet it never felt "lonelier" - because many of these contributions are just from agents, and you never really know if a human will ever read what you comment on a PR.

i've written up some thoughts about AI in the open source world, and more importantly, why humanity is important. its a bit wordy and doomy but this is an important topic right now. there is still a lot of good in the OSS world at least ❤️

Day 6 (Yes, at Tanstack, we work 996): ℹ️ issues: 56 ->47 🔁 PRs: 87 -> 79 🚢 changests: 36 -> 39 @brenelz.com helped with some solid issues/PRs and @peterbud.bsky.social did the same for vue, which got the numbers down significantly 🙏

Day 5: Feels like I opened more PRs than I closed 😅. My inbox is going down rapidly though: ℹ️ issues: 57 -> 56 🔁 PRs: 92 -> 87 🚢 changesets: 34 -> 36

Should really rebuild these in Solid 2.0 to see how it feels

New blog post! I've been building a lot of demos recently, and one pattern I wanted to cover is coordinating optimistic updates. With 𝚞𝚜𝚎𝙰𝚌𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗𝚂𝚝𝚊𝚝𝚎 and 𝚞𝚜𝚎𝙾𝚙𝚝𝚒𝚖𝚒𝚜𝚝𝚒𝚌, changes show immediately while saves run in order. aurorascharff.no/posts/coordi...

Good breakdown of the different generations of frameworks

Great article! SolidJS moves into the next era of frontend frameworks with async at the core The eras are: 0) Cross-platform helpers (jquery) 1) object/class components (AngularJS, Vue 1, class-based React) 2) Functional components (React hooks, Solid 1, Vue 3) 3) Async framework (React 19, Solid 2)

🚨 Solid 2.0 has reached Release Candidate! 🎉🥳 Async is first-class — computations return promises, the graph suspends and resumes itself. Plus optimistic mutations and a reactive core rebuilt from scratch. The Big Reveal 👇 www.solidjs.com/blog/solid-2... 1/3
