It is worth, I think, emphasizing that in trampling congressional attempts to protect the rights of Black people, the Court is basically doing what it has always done, with the exception of a couple decades in the mid-20th century when it often worked with Congress to protect the rights of Black ppl

The alleged WHCD shooter’s manifesto says he did it because of his Christianity, or was at least influenced by his faith. If he was a Muslim, that would be the headline of every story and the lead on every newscast.

AOC: The president has been acting in increasingly erratic ways. It is really damning when we think about the degree to which media outlets reported on Joe Biden, yet we are seeing behavior from Trump that is alarming and everyone is pretending this is normal.

We don't have a government. We have a bunch of guys who heard things on social media. We don't have due process. We have entire groups being punished for the alleged actions of a few.

BREAKING The Trump administration says it has frozen all childcare payments to Minnesota in the aftermath of allegations of fraud by some in the Somali community. Important: allegations along these lines have existed for years, which has resulted in prosecutions starting with the Biden DOJ.

President Trump says that checks for $1,776 each are going out to nearly 1.5 million servicemembers. I have questions. + When did Congress approve such a plan? + Where is the money coming from? + How is it non-taxable? Did Congress vote to do that? I'm sure there must be specific bill text.

Remember, they're currently arguing that Biden's pardons are illegitimate because he signed the actual forms with an autopen. Trump, meanwhile, repeatedly insists he knows nothing at all about one of his very controversial pardons. Never heard of the guy! Sorta seems like a problem.

O'DONNELL: Why did you pardon Changpeng Zhao? TRUMP: Are you ready? I don't know who he is O'DONNELL: His crypto exchange Binance helped facilitate a $2b purchase of World Liberty Financial's stablecoin. And they you pardoned him. TRUMP: Here's the thing -- I know nothing about it

Once again, where is the CNO? SECNAV? After what just happened in Quantico, when will the military top brass speak up? I asked this after the disgrace at Ft. Bragg, too. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archiv...

The government is shut down. For those just tuning in, here’s what happened:   1) We said we needed to help Americans pay their health insurance bills.   2) Republicans hated the idea and stonewalled us.   3) They shut down the government (which they control all chambers of) without negotiating.

I slam the NYT when it normalizes Trump and reaches for neutral language to characterize his batshit craziness. But here they got it right.
