I will never vote for an anti-transgender Democrat like Josh Turek and you should not either. I'll probably be writing my case to abstain from a handful of races like his on Monday. Josh Turek is showing the exact slippery slope I've called out, in real time.

Erin Reed@erininthemorning.com

Josh Turek of Iowa, Democrat, comes out with one of the worst anti-trans ads yet. Not only is it an anti-sports ad, it proposes a ban on federal funding for gender affirming care. That would hit all medicaid and medicare patients, and any ACA federally-subsidized plans as well. Horrific.

Got to say it's one thing when dems turn on trans people. Its another when they literally laugh at us while doing it.

Democratic congresswoman Kathy Castor of FL-14 becomes the latest anti-transgender Democrat. When asked if she supports "biological males in girls sports," she cheerfully and forcefully says "THE ANSWER IS NO!" with a huge smile on her face, laughing. The number keeps growing.

Let's be honest. The greatest threat to our country today is the rise of authoritarianism, not socialism. Let's commit to a little honesty in our politics, focus on economic growth for the most number of people, and restore a little trust in each other along the way.

The WNBA has never had a trans woman play in the league’s 30-year history and now the right and other anti-trans activists are hammering the league over something that has never been an issue, proving once again it isn’t about protection but exhibiting cruelty toward trans people.

Ever heard what a data center sounds like? Sound On. Florida’s future shouldn’t be for sale. While Byron Donalds takes money from the data center industry, I’ll keep fighting for the water, land, communities, and families that make this state worth protecting. Floridians come first.

1. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has announced that under a new deal with Scouting America, formerly Boy Scouts of America, trans scouts will be forcibly outed and segregated from peers of their gender. The policy is the latest cruel capitulation. www.erininthemorning.com/p/secdef-heg...

Ashley Moody was appointed to the Senate to be an automatic “yes” vote for Donald Trump and special interests. She isn’t fighting for Florida – she’s fighting for them.

It’s time for universal childcare. Yesterday, Governor Kathy Hochul and I celebrated our commitment to New Yorkers: you will be able to afford to raise your kids in the city you call home.

PragerU and TPUSA received over $2M to create media targeting Gen Z voters with far-right content. We desperately need Democratic donors to step up and begin investing in youth.

They took money from children’s services. They took money from addiction recovery. & they spent it protecting their power over women’s bodies. Now Florida is suing to block mifepristone by mail even where abortion is legal. Florida deserves better than this abuse of power at every level of office

Under Republican leadership, Florida has become a home for the rich and the reckless. This race is about more than just the affordability crisis. It’s about making Florida a home for everybody.

Next November, the story is going to be that Florida’s voters—not the candidate—flipped this state for the first time in 30 years. We have the power to choose a new direction and create a movement that cannot be stopped. Florida’s next. Will you be a part of this?

Listen, once you get me talking about change coming to Florida, it can be hard to get me to stop. Thank you to the Polk County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Hillsborough Democracy Builders Society for being a part of this important conversation. Florida's next!

Guest: The House has been out for 39 consecutive days. This is unheard of. It's unprecedented. We think this is a bad strategic move, bad for the country, and also, more importantly, bad for ending the shutdown.

There he goes again

Here’s the original clip of Ronald Reagan from April 25, 1987, where he delivered a complete and total rebuke against tariffs. Trump's calling Reagan’s words here “FAKE” and “fraudulent.” They’re 100% real. And the original clip is actually far worse for Trump, as much is left out of the ad:

Oh you're trying to say the cost of living is skyrocketing? Donald Trump can't hear you over the sound of bulldozers demolishing a wing of the White House to build a new grand ballroom.

Brutal. Constituents in Jim Jordan's (R-OH) district would have to fork up an additional $16,846 every year to keep their coverage.

The last three government shutdowns have happened while Donald Trump was President. This shutdown, like all recent shutdowns, is a REPUBLICAN SHUTDOWN. Enough with the chaos. Time for Republican leadership to work with Democrats to reopen government and save your health care.

So Speaker Johnson gave the congress another week off. Paid of course, while they shut the govt down. The GOP has made it clear they have no interest in compromise with Dems. So they will have to figure how to reopen their govt that they closed. And they get another vacation

Dear Ds in CA, NJ and VA - please vote on Day 1, or as early as you. When you vote early your names comes off GOTV rolls for the campaigns allowing them to move on to lower propensity voters, which increases D turnout and makes it more likely we win. Voting early = another way to help us win.

This is the real reason Jimmy Kimmel is being taken off the air. Brian Stelter: "Nexstar already owns lots of TV stations. It wants to merge with Tegna, which owns lots of other stations. In order to do that, it needs Brandon Carr, the FCC Chair's, permission."

The fact that Matthew Dowd lost his job for pointing out Charlie Kirk’s hate speech, while Brian Kilmeade openly suggests we should euthanize the homeless and there is zero outrage, shows exactly what is terribly wrong with today’s political mainstream media.

If I don't see multiple ~media reporters~ columns about the extraordinarily irresponsible Wall Street Journal report from yesterday morning — and their extensive promotion of that inflammatory report — you all should just pack up and go home.
