The most ordinary man imaginable came to my home state to tell me to ‘get out of America’ while he & Absent Ashley enjoyed the comfort of buildings my ancestors helped build. Imagine standing on the shoulders of the ppl who built this country & then telling their descendants they don’t belong here/2

One year ago, President Trump declared a “crime emergency” in Washington, D.C., and deployed the National Guard to the nation’s capital. A year later, thousands of troops remain on the streets — and the mission has been extended through Inauguration Day 2029.

NEW: Iran won't let UN inspectors into the nuclear sites the US and Israel bombed, foreign ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei told reporters today. That contradicts JD Vance, who said yesterday that Iran had agreed in the Switzerland talks to let inspectors back into the country. Somebody’s lying.

Ossoff: He’s trying to put his face on the money. He's building a monument to himself . But see, Atlanta, he's doing these things now because no one will honor him when he’s gone… because he's a failed president and a national disgrace.

"Trump's not conservative" Oh no you don't. No no no no no. I can tolerate Republicans moving on from Bush and the neocons, 9/11 and all that. But you fucking own Trump from now until the end of time. He told you exactly who he was from day 1 and you voted for him 3 times. That's on YOU.

And now he’s talking about the “the death of entire civilization.” If this isn’t what the 25th amendment is for then I don’t know what the fuck is.

Re-Fund USAID😡

Robert Reich@rbreich.bsky.social

We are spending an estimated $1B per day on the war on Iran. Now Trump and Co want an extra $200B from Congress to fund the war. But healthcare? Cut. Food stamps? Cut. Education? Cut. Cancer research? Cut. Environmental protections? Cut. And of course, taxes on the rich? Cut. It's obscene.

Just a reminder that this guy scammed the Federal Government and US taxpayers out of at least $1.7 BILLION in Medicare and medicaid fraud back in the 90s and was never punished for it. He got a $300 Million golden parachute. ProTip: Don't trust professional criminals like Rick Scott.

Trump: "Without USA, NATO IS A PAPER TIGER! Now that the fight is Militarily WON, with very little danger for them, they complain about high oil prices they are forced to pay, but don’t want to help open the Strait of Hormuz. So easy for them to do, with so little risk. COWARDS, & we will REMEMBER!"

Trump must be feeling some kind of insecurity or pressure over his decision to attack Iran if he’s trying to claim, without anyone going on the record, that a former president supports his reckless decision to bomb the country. trib.al/PpbPtYW

Stuck in an hours-long security line at the airport? It’s because Senate Republicans blocked Democrats’ bill to fund DHS agencies that don’t conduct immigration enforcement, like TSA. That’s how dead set they are on allowing ICE to keep terrorizing communities with impunity. Remember this.

Uh, yeah, he’s a liar.

NBC News@nbcnews.com

President Trump told reporters Monday that one of his predecessors told him he wished he had been the one to bomb Iran. It appears he did not speak to any of the four former presidents.

Add incompetence, ignorance & stupidity…77m votes😡

Nicholas Grossman@nicholasgrossman.bsky.social

All this was a choice. I can’t get over how all of this was a choice. A plurality of American voters saw corruption, bigotry, pandemic, economic crisis, coup attempt, and criminal conviction, then opted for more.

trump blew up the Iran nuclear deal, the Immigration Bill, Nafta & even his own trade bill, all because Obama made fun of him. the shameful acquiescence of republicans is the worst stain ever on our democracy, worse than January 6th. imagine cheering at people being kicked-off Medicaid & SNAP😡

Trump reposting a video of the Obamas as "apes" during Black History Month and no Republican officials as of yet condemning him is another reason why every one of them needs to be defeated at the ballot box and shunned in public.

No one can be watching this Davos speech and reach any conclusion but that the President of the United States is mentally disturbed and that something is deeply wrong with him. This is both embarrassing and extremely dangerous.
