I think it’s worth asking again — and seriously — what exactly do we have a 25th Amendment for if not for this?

I came across a response to your question just today. Basically the answer is that if we use the 25 th Amendment, we end up with Vance, who is just as evil as Drumpf but not likely to be taken down by the 25 th. However, if Dems take Congress in November, then there is another way to take down all .

Congress doesn't get to vote for the 25th ammendment unless in dispute with the cabinet. The cabinet needs to invoke the 25th ammendment. Congress has the right to impeach and remove (house and senate respectively). Civics is really interesting; take a look at how our gov't works and how it doesn't.
Let’s be specific. Those of us who are pol nerds need to make sure every message right now blames *GOP who have the majority in Congress* & not generically “Congress” (implied or explicit) bc the 90 million who didn’t even bother to vote get even more apathetic if they don’t hear they have OPTIONS.
As long as we’re asking the *Republicans* in Congress, sure.
This was in my timeline right above your post 😬. bsky.app/profile/gwil...
I just had a terrible thought. If they did invoke the 25th amendment, does that mean we’d end up with President Vance?
