In general also I think the anti-AI playbook has gotta change from no true scotsman every time a renowned artist uses the stuff. Maybe it was effective at one time but I think it only really scans to people who already agree with you.

I wanna make like a "decision-making in LimitOver" video but the scale of the topic is so vast that any time I start on it it balloons out of control immediately

I have something serious to share. Please help my best friend Jess, who has been struggling lately to make rent, to keep from being evicted. She is the reason I'm so involved in the FGC, so if you see this, please give what you can, even 5-10 bucks, and share. gofund.me/0c8209c5f

lmfao I'm pretty sure $56k could have just hired someone to decomp games for you full time and they would've done a better job and they might even gotten multiple games done too

I would genuinely argue that the goal of a decompilation project like this is *documenting and understanding the code* not just taking a binary and outputting equivalent C the reason you see so many jank ports come out of this is because people think it’s about the latter, and neglect the former

this is one thing where it's gonna be hard for people doing this by hand to continue to derive meaning from AI is just automatically "solving" problems people have been working on in teams for years in a matter of hours + barging into open source repositories & stealing / "helping" their work
