Zelensky speaking the truth. The US is now a Russian ally, and the Starlink decision is a massive benefit for the Russian military (and it has nothing to do with Ukraine attacking Russian refineries). The US is literally riding to Putin’s rescue.

NOELREPORTS@noelreports.com

Zelensky told Piers Morgan that Ukraine feels betrayed and fears it is losing the US as a strong partner. “We are not selling our country. This is not business for us. This is our life, our country, our home, our children,” he said, adding that Ukraine cannot afford to be weak. #Ukraine

🇷🇺 Russia 🔽 “Well done, Trump! Today, he’s on our side! There’s something else behind this. It’s not entirely clear what, but there’s definitely something going on. 100%! You’ll see!” — State Duma deputy Alexei Zhuravlyov

Putin has rejected every proposal to stop the war. Trump remembers none of these, and will 'fail to notice' when Putin ignores him this time as well. But if Zelenskyy ever once does, Trump will lose his mind and attack Ukraine.

Dr. Michael MacKay@michaelmackay.bsky.social

The Ukrainian president spoke with his Canadian and Finnish allies, and with the NATO head who was present for form's sake. Ukraine is turning Trump's latest fumble into an advantage by agreeing to the energy ceasefire Trump made up in his head. Russia already rejected it.

Well that sounds like a real bad idea, to surrender on. The demand IS the justification of the need.

Will NATO fight? YES Just not the Americans. The problem with the REST of the alliance is that we are stuck in 1938 appeasement. As before, the fascists (Russians) will be shocked when patience with their bullshit EVENTUALLY runs out and the democracies are forced to put an end to their bullshit.

Russian desperation in its losing war has reached the "unrestricted submarine warfare" stage. The next stages are the "Bunker" phase, and then finally Peace. Every losing fascist war goes through these stages.

This proves only two things. The Ukrainian campaign against Russian refineries is causing serious damage. Putin has asked Trump to help him out and the US president obliged.

Having been asked a few times now about Merz’s Ukraine visit and the pledges made there I would now like to comment briefly on the matter before reporting in more detail over the coming days (sadly didn't had time yet due to some private stuff). Up front: Some very good news!

Putin doesn't remotely want peace. But if he DID, and he wanted to agree to a ceasefire on the current front line, how would Russian command ever reconcile to reality and accept where that line is? There will be no peace until Russia collapses.

Oh how times haven't changed...

Russians struck Ukraine's National Academy of Sciences in Kyiv. People escaped via windows as the building caught fire. Half is destroyed, with potential casualties trapped under rubble. Emergency responders are on the scene.

@mark-carney.bsky.social can we do this? Feels only rational, sensible and just.

Putin will likely push Russia's ongoing military mobilization up another gear following the ritual Russian "election". The mobilization will be kept as much under the radar as they CAN. Their last mobilization remains in legal effect, so it will be pushed but not announced.

This influx of Russians forced from civilian life to the front line will be a significant challenge for Ukraine, but these forced Russians will be poor soldiers. This will be Russia's Kaiserschlacht - the WW1 Germans' final all-in offensive that stretched the allies but guaranteed German defeat.

Belarus can only ship out through Russia. So, the play appears to be that the Russians will help discount Belarussian potash enough to let Trump buy it - and then use the Americans to try and force Ukraine to stop destroying all Russia's Black Sea ports and shipping.

Selling the potash at a huge discount would still be a big net win for Putin. (Belarus is now de facto a Russian colony)

Well done, Latvia! Aleksandr Ovechkin and Umar Kremlev support russia's genocidal war on Ukraine. They pose a grave risk to international peace and security. Canada should follow suit and put Aleksandr Ovechkin and Umar Kremlev under the most severe prohibitions and visa bans.

People keep asking me where the peace process goes from here. Honestly, I’ve never been convinced there was a genuine peace process, especially now. Trump’s family are neither mediators nor neutral, and that has become increasingly clear over the past week.

Putin is very likely to call a mobilization in Russia after his October 'election'. He would love to fabricate or provoke an event with NATO that he can use as the pretext to do that, deflecting some of his people's anger away from himself.

This is finally ONE case where we can't give him the hard & publicly visible response he wants. Not without a good delay, or under the radar, anyway. Force Putin to at least lie when he blames the mobilization on NATO-something-something.

The question is, HOW FAR will the Russian provocations go? Clearly, the CIA thinks that they are considering going too far - potentially including Russian troops crossing borders. This fall could get intense.

Trump and the people around him have no sense of patriotism or sovereignty. To them, politics is another grift—another way to the top. But as we are seeing, Canada doesn’t share their view. Canada has a plan and they are acting—and America will now lose the most, thanks to Trump and his people (2/2)
