Caitlin Yarsky- PROMETHEUS GRAFT #1 FOC 11/02!!

To any new followers, hi! I’m Caitlin Yarsky, a comic book artist and writer from NY. Drawn to dark fantasy, folklore and science fiction ✨ DC, Image, Dark Horse, Oni, BOOM!, IDW, 3W3M *DC colorists below: Jordie Bellaire (Shazam) and Alex Guimaraes (Superman)

Always fun when you cut your own bangs and realize you look kinda like Lord Farquad now but it’s TOO LATE

I was very lucky to chat with @caitlinyarsky.bsky.social and bsky.app/profile/geor... about their new supernatural murder mystery, PROMETHEUS GRAFT, releasing soon from @oni-press.bsky.social ! Reat our interview over at @macabredaily.bsky.social www.macabredaily.com/articles/gab...

Hey remember Sigur Ros? Highly recommended if you need some music to listen to while working that won’t distract with lyrics (unless you speak gibberish)

Trying to get back into music after I stopped in 2020. This is Ashokan Farewell, a simple old timey Appalachian tune Side note did you know @davechisholmcomics.com and I used to play in a band together? Small world ✨

One sad thing about being an American is that if I got some amazing 1-in-a-million adaptation/pilot deal for one of my comics, my first move would be getting dental work done and maybe HRT for perimenopause. You know, LUXURY items… 🙄

Currently, Hasbro’s guidelines keep us from having total ownership over the work we make in our free time. Our union aims to change that and ensure we own what we make in our free time. actionnetwork.org/forms/uwotcp...

there really is something so heartbreaking seeing huge studios with life long fans closing down while more and more genAI games start to flood the industry. support human creativity. support artists, storytellers, coders, and anyone else who works to bring raw spirit to these things.

I had a dream that my whole extended family had a collection of large dolls bought over decades and one year I was tasked with bringing them to a reunion but I left them on the subway and John Cameron Mitchell was there somehow and so upset with me and said I had to replace them all for like $3,000

Ok this @oni-press.bsky.social series may be my best work. I think the universe is telling me I’m meant to draw monsters and witches in pretty dresses for…forever #PrometheusGraft #December2026

Why is Kiss such a good Prince song and why does it make me bob my head like a pigeon in public

TOMORROW! THE OCTOBER GIRL Book Three. From me and @maverickogn.bsky.social. In stores October 20th, 2026.

Just found out that for the next MONTH our building is turning our water off Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm

that's murder

Does anyone have extra googly eyes I can borrow? I wanna put em on this sweet potato my sister bought 3 months ago that’s growing hair and leave it on her bed

Do you ever think about how Tolkien adored his wife so much that she inspired him to create the character Luthien, an elvish princess who gives up her immortality for the love of a man named Beren? And that the names Beren and Luthien were etched on their gravestones in real life? 😭😭😭

Lady in glasses riding a snail. Cuz why not? #conceptart

What if you see ICE at the polls? (Don't worry! Read on for the plan!) @indivisible.org roped me in to design and illustrate a new zine! Check it out in this 🧵 - and visit linktr.ee/wewillvote to sign up for the Election Protection Program and find all the resources you need!

There’s a new British show called Small Prophets that I’m really enjoying. It’s got a surreal/fantasy element but it’s a pretty grounded reality, very small and quiet. There’s a kind of facetious but good-natured humor, and Michael Palin is in it (of Monty Python fame). Highly recommended ✨

I want to recommend this archived radio show called “Your Dreams My Nightmares” by Sam Weber, one of my favorite illustrators and a professor at SVA. It’s very inside baseball but invites really deep conversations with some of the greatest artists of our time: m.soundcloud.com/yourdreamsmy...

This bill would abolish ICE, DHS, and CBP, transferring legitimate customs duties to other departments. It would sunset Section 219 of the INA close the Guantánamo Bay detention facility and shutter all immigration detention centers. You have my sword, milady.

Can we just take a minute to appreciate Filipe Andrade cuz GODDAMN

Ugh this book got really good just as I was getting ready for bed so I stayed up waaay too late finishing it. Think Legend of Korra meets Peaky Blinders. Great characters in the middle of a class war, cool magic system, ends on a cliffhanger aaaand there’s a book 2! 🤌

My latest influences come from indie animation- from Laika and Don Bluth to Sylvain Chomet (but also Evan Cagle and Alariko) I think I’m getting closer to a style integrating all those with PROMETHEUS GRAFT. I’m really proud of it and excited to see how this style develops. Out Dec! FOC 11/02

I'm a trans woman, my life is inherently political whether I want it to be or not, so I try to keep my social media presence as a fairly bummer-free zone. But if you live in Arizona, please vote in these midterms, 'cause I'm kinda terrified of what's on the ballot right now.

Our own @jedkeith.bsky.social interviewed writer @judedoyle.bsky.social and artist @caitlinyarsky.bsky.social about their comic miniseries Dead Teenagers, on sale in trade paperback now from @oni-press.bsky.social! freaksugar.com/interview-ju...

Use reference. I’m serious. I get it that somehow you or someone convinced you that using reference is “cheating.” It’s not. You are just hindering yourself.

Hahhaa maaan the @oni-press.bsky.social marketing team is really something

Had a great time at the Oni panel with @georgenorthy.bsky.social! PROMETHEUS GRAFT is out in Dec, order by 11/02!

You know what- no matter how exhausting nycc can be, the people in comics (editors, creators and fans alike) are so wonderful and bring such a sense of community that it’s all worth it 💕
