A few weeks of optimising and @goodgear.club is flying. Improved performance of queries, optimised images and configuration tweaks have made it even more efficient and lightweight than it was to serve each page. ๐

Wonder if the teams working on the Apple Watch Workout and Music apps have ever spoken. If you start a workout when music is already playing, there's no guarantee the Workout will become the primary app experience. If it does, workout announcements seem to trigger Music to come forward. Infuriating.
I've been showing @goodgear.club some love the past couple of weeks. Found myself back in the habit of posting content and blog posts after a bit of a hiatus. Managed to improve performance of item pages and I now just need to get through the 100s of items on the list for review!
A massive hit of nostalgia from the 2010s listening to this. One of the best to do it on YouTube for South Asians! podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/j...
Who knew properly organising items in @feedly.com would make it much easier to get through?! The All number has been in the thousands before but it's all much more manageable now with the added benefit of giving me specific reasons to focus when I get the time to browse through my feeds.

Took < 10 minutes of poking around and you now get NavigationSplitView on the inside screen of the iPhone Duo in Waylist! Will have a release ready for day 1, but now the race to see if we can deliver even more value in that build ๐โโ๏ธ

Thoughts on the iPhone Duo here: www.1thingaweek.com/week/463/app... But since posting, I think it looks dumb folded and brilliant unfolded. There are times I miss Touch ID but Face ID is superior. If I was buying this year, it would be a an iPhone 18 Pro.
I always think that I've put too many options in the context menus in Waylist. Just right clicked on a link in the Notes app and I feel much better now. www.wearesimplifying.com/apps/waylist
Most importantly Iโve largely made the change anyway but having a habit tracker thatโs non-judgemental is useful and might help others? What does it do? 1. Track lapses rather than checking in constantly 2. Track often and keep yourself committed to โ2 times a weekโ type goals 3. Track daily

So, launch screens are back for apps on iOS and iPadOS? When I started my App Store submission journey it became apparent that they'd been dropped and Apple's own apps don't seem to use them. Don't see any evidence that's changed in the Device Hub simulators! developer.apple.com/documentatio...
Working on a new SwiftUI app. Becoming a habit but Iโm actually shipping. This one will be my first freemium app with a subscription. Scratching my own itch first and then to flesh it out to something more. Taking lots of inspiration from Appleโs own apps but noticing so much that isnโt consistent!
