Today marks 75 years since the Refugee Convention was signed. From the devastation of the Second World War, it established a vital principle - people fleeing persecution have the right to seek safety. 75 years on, that promise matters as much as ever.

Refugee Week starts today ☀ This year’s theme, Courage, feels especially resonant. Courage in the journeys people have taken to find safety. Courage in rebuilding lives in new places. And courage in communities that choose welcome, solidarity, and understanding.
