Who am i? I invite leaders of the catholic church to discuss the issues they're very concerned about. I promise it's a closed, private discussion. Then I move you to my gold-clad office after i listen to you for a bit and ask you to pray with me. Then I have folks take photos and video.

I then, without your knowledge, posted those and claimed you came to my office to pray, hands on me, for me. I refuse to take down the photos and videos, and I refuse to admit I lied and tricked you.

But don't fret; I gave you little coins or trinkets to appease you. As if to say, "Here, thanks for unwittingly aligning with me," and "I have no respect for you or your faith. "

Goodbye, Captain Dallas. "So I went to see The Duellists. And it was a masterpiece. I mean, I have never seen a picture that captured so much production value as The Duellists. Magnificent-looking film, a painting from beginning to end. So I had to do Alien at that point.” Tom Skerritt was 93.

According to MIT News, Margaret Hamilton died at the age of 90. "A profoundly influential computer scientist best known for leading the software engineering team at MIT’s Instrumentation Lab during NASA’s Apollo program". This famous photo 🔽 inspired the For All Mankind character Margo Madison.

A lot of what’s happening doesn’t seem to be spreading anymore by mainstream media. A tree that stood for an estimated 150–250 years was destroyed today to make way for Trump’s border wall.

I'd like to try a discussion thread on AI governance. "What capabilities, knowledge, authority and infrastructure must humans and democratic institutions never become incapable of exercising without AI or its commercial providers?"

Supporting questions: Authority — Who legally possesses the power? Agency — Can the human genuinely reject the machine? Knowledge — Can humans still understand and reproduce the underlying function? Provenance — Can every consequential inference be traced to its evidentiary origin?

Reversibility — Can erroneous machine influence be found and undone throughout interconnected systems? Sovereignty — Can the state continue the function if the model, cloud provider, vendor or allied country becomes unavailable?

Some of the most interesting characters in science fiction are the ones who never quite fit the world they were born into. Why do you think those perspectives resonate so strongly with readers?

The universe is unimaginably large. Yet most of the best science fiction stories are still about very human struggles. What balance between cosmic scale and personal story works best for you?

Years spent working together, but never really knowing one another. I didn’t write a sci-fi story about heroes. I wrote one about systems, power, survival—and who gets left behind. Divergence: Protostar For readers who like their science fiction uncomfortable.
