If you liked GO3 and are frustrated over other fans’ negative responses to it, well… you can always return to the finale and rewatch the canon scenes you love, right? Those of us who disliked it can’t do that. Canon is no longer a comfort for us. We have nothing.

there were SO many ways to deliver the same message without annihilation/evaporation. i turned off the tv in a state of existential horror, and i genuinely don’t see a single ounce of happiness in that ending >

Little bonus insight from my last Q&A:

My last post before the GO finale where I was still full of hope and joy. Now Iβ€˜m here, removing all my GO stuff from my room, muting/unfollowing GO blogs and trying to create my own characters with my own stories that will treat them and my mental health kinder.

Also before people panic: Nothing is set in stone yet and this is not a goodbye post. I am just still very sad and depressed, after the finale released. But I still love Azi and Crowley very much, which is why I can't really let go and try to come up with a plan B. (B stands for Bootleg Versions)

Always felt insecure how far my version of Azi and Crowley were drifting away from the canon but now I am really thinking of changing them even more to completely make them my OCs. My own story. No angels, no demons, no Good Omens. Just 2 eldritch creatures and Astra.

#go3spoilers I really want to see the beauty behind the GO ending but all I see is how cruel it was. Killing off everyone's favorite characters without a proper heart to heart and erase their whole world, all their friends, all their achievements to then slap a rainbow sticker over the wound.

Maybe it would have been easier if we had more than 90min so the bridge from the S2 break-up to this end wouldn't be so brutal. But there were definitely possibilities, no matter the time or budget, to soften that punch by changing some phrases or add some words.

I have nothing against the human versions, but 10min weren't enough for me to feel emotionally connected to them. So I unfortunatelly don't feel soothed by that "fanfiction ending" at all, eventhough the humans got a happy one.

Going down the memory lane to find my spark again. Here is my first GO comic I ever made from 3years ago:

Magician Aziraphale and his wonderful assistant!

Do you think there is ever the chance that they will make a little special episode to give the other half of the Good Omens fandom some peace? Like in doctor who where David's character came back and finally got a closer for his own.

Not as "rewrite the ending" but a peek into an other universe with our AziraCrow and giving them and us a proper closure. I don't even need a big adventure or a big set. Just those two in the bookshop, talking, interacting.

I really wonder what David and Michael think (or will think since MS is busy rn) of the strong reactions from the fandom, when in the BTS they talked with so much love about the fans. Also wonder how future conventions with them will go...

Maybe we will never know. Maybe GO is now a thing none of them wants to touch anymore after this. Or maybe they just wait till hopefully things calmed down.

Please note that the script for this comic was written long time before GO3, and characters, plot points, motives etc will be different. The canon finale won't influence my version and I will just continue with what I have originally planned for this story.

Seeing and listening to Michael Sheen at 4:48 really broke me but this time in a good way! Just him, David and the crew talking about how much GO meant to them really healed sth inside me.

Good Omens News@goodomensnews.bsky.social

There is a bonus available now on Prime Video. Good Omens - Season 3: An Ineffable Goodbye goes behind the scenes of the finale with the cast and crew. @mchshe.bsky.social #GoodOmens #GoodOmens3 #DavidTennant

I wonder if the stars will ever align again and give us another project with David and Michael in main roles. The House in the Cerulean Sea would be so perfect for them. But maybe l am just seeking for sth similar to Good Omens to fill the void in my heart...
