I'm working on #DeadEast, a #pico8 game where you play as the gravedigger. Help settlers bury their dead before they rise and come after you ! #gamedev #indiedev

if your supposed skill is in ideation, and yet you can't think of a single way to make your game without AI generated VO? then you've got a pretty long way to go with your ideas if your only conception of "good" is "high fidelity/professional"

Capitalism breeds innovation? Yeah, it fucks it raw with no lube and doesn't call back after

I love open world games, but I hate when the pesky story quests get in the way of me bumbling about, completing the "collect X of item Y" quests and beating all the one-off dungeons and combat arenas This is my genuine opinion

we only used ai for the concept art of scarlett johansen quake skins none of it is actually in the game!!!

inviting my loved ones to a meeting where I unveil whether my upcoming game is a Parkour or a Menus calling it a genre reveal party

"ouroboros, where did you go?" ouroboros with a suspiciously ouroboros-shaped bulge in his stomach:

I think it finally clicked why working with RNG never quite felt right to me I've been treating all randomization like rolling dice and looking stuff up in tables, when there are so many differeny ways to approach it!! Shame on me for forgetting the grab bag. Shoulda made more falling block games

The worst thing about paper game design is the part where you have to, like, actually make the thing

Been on video calls a lot lately, and with two screens it was a bit of a pain to fogure out where to put the window so it didn't obstruct anything important Anyway thanks to VDD and Sunshine I got my PS Vita to act as a third discord-only screen for my PC! Didn't think it could do that

Wrapped up a 10 day vacation with my foreign friends today! It felt really special to be a tour guide for a group of people I deeply cherish, and for my home town no less! Anyway, check out this name card made by one of the guests!! The artist asked to stay anonymous - they're secretive like that~

there are uses for AI that I'm fine with, but the tech feels so fundamentally rotten, not to mention responsible for cancerous growths all over our creative spaces and communication channels, that I feel gross even using it for innocuous things

While all you FOOLS were talking about Steam Deck Verification, I was just making sure my games were playable on the PS Vita and calling it a day. Hasn't failed me yet!

I spent the whole day today checking out Matrix chat clients looking for casual-friendly ones to potentially move to with my less tech-y friends. It's been 8 hours. I'm frustrated and kinda upset at how janky it all felt, but things might improve with time? Cinny and Commet seem very promising!

Seeing my friends chasing high scores in my silly little games fills me with a degree of joy I can't even begin to describe

I discovered the power of retweeting my mutuals' projects This will be invaluable in the future, I can sense it Keep on deving, y'all

I guess I should've said "retweeting projects made by people I know from discord but with whom I might not be actual honest-to-god mutuals" But that's not quite as snappy or catchy now is it
