In the Netherlands, the staff at the professional art store look at you like you've never held a brush. The staff at the hobby (hello Pipoos) store are so so lovely. I am sure there's a metaphor in there somewhere.

Living in Bangkok feels a little like living in the future. Sliding with the metro through the brutalist landscape. My friend send me a package that arrived one hour later. A few days ago we booked a cleaner via an app, and today she arrived.

There is this weird trend that “people" reply to our newsletter. I know it’s AI, and it’s someting random like “if you have any questions”, but I also just don’t understand why. I guess it is good for our newsletter rating, thanks I guess. 🤷🏻‍♀️

This week, I vibe-coded a web app to replace Harvest for time tracking. I also built an OCR receipt-scanning app to replace Foreceipt, and a small bookmarklet for checking links on any web page; after the one I used previously became cluttered with logins and ads. Hurray! * had an AI made it for me

We found a lovely house in our fave neighborhood in Bangkok. We have space, a little front yard, and an office. I have been dreaming about this for years. I am beyond excited. Although the trip was smooth, travel doesn’t get easier when you age. Ferdi 🐈‍⬛ agrees too :-D
