A conservative dark money group is running Prop 132 asking voters to put more Coloradans in prison for fentanyl. Is it backed by people who make money off private prisons? Don’t know. It’s dark money.

Incredible: another Ukrainian famine is unfolding, this time in Russian-occupied Oleshky. The remaining inhabitants of what used to be a thriving small city, now down to about 6000 people, are blockaded by Russian forces and cut off from food and water. www.bbc.com/news/article...

In 1930s, Soviet Russia brought Holodomor to Ukraine - to starve Ukrainians and stop the resistance. Now, a hundred years later , Russia is doing the same to Oleshky , starving people there, not letting food in and not letting people out . Please ask your politicians to urge access to Oleshky .

I had a cousin that was borm with a heart defect and other medical problems because her mother had measles while pregnant with her. Get the damn vaccine.

Allison Gill@muellershewrote.com

This is an entirely new phenomenon because before the vaccine, most women who survived measles were immune because they had it when they were young. But now, idiots who refuse to get vaccinated are giving birth to babies with measles. Two babies have died. www.nbcnews.com/health/healt...

On this day in 1994, the Clinton administration's heathcare reform plan was declared "dead" by Congress. Over 30 years later, the US is still the only industrialized country without universal healthcare. This should be a national outrage.

Starbucks’ CEO made 6,666x more than the company's median employee in 2024. In 2025, he made 1,794x more. And we're supposed to believe Starbucks can't afford to bargain a fair contract with its unionized workers? I will continue my boycott of Starbucks.

Words I wish were used more - kerfuffle, befuddle, dilly dally, diddly squat, shmancy, tomfoolery, nonsensical, and flabbergasted. Even in these tough times, we need some fantastical wordplay.

Good news! We have more time to fight for our national forests. The Forest Service has extended the public comment period on the Trump administration’s plan to eliminate the Roadless Area Conservation Rule. The new deadline is October 6.

RTD in Denver, CO should talk to the people that came up with this solution. #transportaion #denvermetro

Governor JB Pritzker@govpritzker.illinois.gov

Across the nation, too many cities and states responded to challenges by cutting service or asking riders to accept less. Illinois chose to invest, modernize, and build by creating NITA — stabilizing public transit and positioning it for the future.

My niece a few years ago when she was doing boot camp at the Naval Station Great Lakes told her mom that she was seeing green, black and pink mold in the shower area. Also missing tiles and lime build up.

You know things are going well for the military reputation when the press starts publishing pictures of facilities that have been in disrepair for years, if not decades.

Oklahoma. Nothing but sad casinos, illiteracy, and people who think they invented being sports fans because they lucked into a good NBA team. (Side note: you don’t hate (insert flyover state that I’ve lived/live in here), you just hated driving across it. Which, I mean, I get it.)

Name the U.S. state you loathe the most, I don't care what the reason is unless it's like weird or bigoted

To celebrate the 250th anniversary of the U.S.A. I am watching The American Experiment on Netflix. As the title of Episode Two says, "Tyranny, Like Hell, Is Not Easily Conquered." Thomas Paine understood what the rebels would go through. Now we need to keep going to conquer our new Tyrant.

Ballots are coming the Ballots are coming. I received an email today from Ballot Trax that Colorado mailed out the Primary ballots. My mailbox is getting more cardboard mailers. I could do without them.
