I guess this is better than them helping ICE kidnap people, or shooting civilians. So much efficiency!

National Guardner? National Park Service workers laid off, and now the National Guard is doing landscaping in DC. Felon Trump really turned soldiers into gardeners.

A terrorist targeted federal workers last week. There wasn’t much reporting on it. But I’m not finished thinking about it! 🧵 An anti-vaxxer fired more than 500 gunshots into CDC Atlanta, shattering 150 “blast-proof” windows on 6 buildings. Employees were pinned down in terror.

Trump in 2020: If we just stopped counting COVID cases there wouldn't be as many. Trump in Nov 2021: If we just stopped counting the votes, I would win! Trump in 2025: If we just stopped counting jobs, there would be more of them. Dude really hates counting.

NEW: A federal judge raised alarm Friday that the Trump administration appeared to have deported a 2-year-old U.S. citizen to Honduras with "no meaningful process" — even as her father was fighting to keep her in the country. Details w/ @joshgerstein.bsky.social www.politico.com/news/2025/04...

Shit. The UK -Rwanda trafficking arrangement has come to America.

The plan to prove that the most incompetent White men are preferable to the most highly qualified Black men has been a smashing success. Between the tariff lunacy tanking the economy, the chain-sawing of the federal govt, & Signal-gate (parts 1 & 2), the supremacy is not looking very supreme.

This is bec of public pressure. Keep the pressure on. This is not over. He has to appear in court on May 6th, for what? 2 ppl he was with are also being charged. I don't care if they aren't US citizens. The party of "individual freedom"sure spends a lot of time making sure other people aren't free.

I shed so many happy tears upon reading this news. Finally there are no more chimpanzees in Alamogordo, NM, the center of biomedical experimentation in the US and perhaps the world since the 1950s. #primates

Those chimps moved to Florida. The remaining chimps, owned by NIH, were in the custody of Charles River Laboratories. Over time, some were sent to Chimp Haven, a sanctuary in Louisiana. The last few dozen were denied retirement to sanctuary, w/false claims that the chimps were too sick/old to move.

Finally, after court battles, a change in NIH leadership, & Charles River losing employees, the surviving chimps suddenly were no longer too sick or old, and finally made the journey to Chimp Haven. What Dr. Carole Noon started finally culminated in all chimp cages in Alamogordo now empty. At last.

This has been 28 years in the making, starting w/Dr. Carole Noon of Save the Chimps suing the Air Force for custody of their chimpanzees in 1997 and ultimately taking over The Coulston Foundation in 2002, providing sanctuary for over half of the nearly 600 chimps living in this tiny military town.

Might as well just ban all trade with China at this point. Why would he even think for a second that China would not just clap back, again? And then he raises tariffs more and they raise it more and on and on. This is all so stupid and childish.

My prediction is that martial law will be imposed just before November 2026, and there will not be any midterm elections.

Just Jack@just-jack-1.bsky.social

Martial Law. It’s the elephant in the room. It’s what authoritarians resort to when the tide turns against them. It’s what the authoritarian in this White House is setting the stage for. 🧵…

The first rule of Trumpism is to never apologize or admit wrongdoing. That’s why he’s not firing anyone or even entertaining the idea anybody around him did something wrong.

I feel like the highlighted portion needs more attention. Israel is apparently asking the US to replace their weaponry following strikes against Muslims, & that's a "minor factor" but it's Europe (did any European gov'ts even ask for a strike?) that's described by Vance & Hegseth as "freeloading"

I appreciate JG's integrity in not doing so, but after their denials, I sure wish he would.

Kevin M. Kruse@kevinmkruse.bsky.social

If the White House is insisting that there was no classified or secret information in the Signal chat, does that mean Jeffrey Goldberg can publish it all?

What a joke. Did she even read The Atlantic article? Goldberg, to his credit, didn't share the content of several messages because they were so sensitive. But you know he's got them.

Ron Filipkowski@ronfilipkowski.bsky.social

The White House has apparently decided the best course of action is to lie their way through it.

Totally agree with this. Flying a person to a third country that they may never have been to, directly into a prison where they are going to be forced to do hard labor, is not a deportation; it's something else entirely.

@washingtonpost.com They were not DEPORTED. Deported means sending them back to their country of origin. These people were sent to a maximum security prison in El Salvador, without any due process or any analysis as to whether they feared harm in El Salvador!
