Osaurus is on Windows now. Free. Watch it close out a month of books on a PC: invoices matched, a double payment caught, workbook written. No cloud, no subscription. Native C#, no Electron. Public beta is open. Thanks to the community member who built the port. osaurus.ai/windows

"The Jury has found that Meta has committed 43,899,720 willful violations of the New Mexico Unfair Practices Act (the “Act”)..." That's a lot of will violations... 😬

Justin Hendrix@justinhendrix.bsky.social

Today, a judge in New Mexico ordered Meta to pay $25 billion for misleading users on data privacy and a range of other statements that a jury deemed deceptive (and willfully so). Last month I broke down the jury's determinations on each of the questions posed to it:

For an inside look into the mind of the Trump Administration: 1. Go to america.gov 2. type “hello” 3. type “play Minecraft” 4. watch the agent’s reality implode 5. ??? 6. PROFIT!

Trump declares he is "forming the AI Force, much like I did Space Force, which has been a tremendous SUCCESS, in my First Term. To that end, I will be announcing, in the near future, the AI “Czar” — Only High I.Q. individuals need apply!"

Telling my kids this is what I mean when I talk about “agent swarms”.

At least 40 ant genera are known to use "cooperative transport" in similar ways, but only Leptogenys, to my knowledge, forms these ant-to-ant daisy chains. Here are some Longhorn crazy ants (Paratrechina longicornis) pulling a dead cockroach by the conveniently long antennae. (📷: Dee Davidson)

If you're on a Mac with 8 or 16 GB of RAM, you should try @osaurus.ai's new local model Raptor 0.5. It was made just for you!

Osaurus@osaurus.ai

Most Macs have 8 or 16GB. Model releases pretend they don't. Raptor 0.5: a local agent model built for the Macs everyone actually owns. 8B MoE, ~1B active per token, 6.3 GB, free, MIT. Reads files, checks spreadsheets, drafts emails. github.com/osaurus-ai/osaurus osaurus.ai/models/raptor-05

Solid open source harness that can create agents with just a request 👇🏻

Osaurus@osaurus.ai

Osaurus now has an Orchestrator. Talk to it and it configures the app, creates agents, and schedules work. Every change shows an approval card first. It plans and delegates, your agents execute. Free, open source, native macOS. github.com/osaurus-ai/osaurus

Every program attempts to expand until it can read mail. Those programs which cannot so expand are replaced by ones which can. Including apps for tracking alcohol consumption. 🥴 — Zawinski’s Law, 1995 #ReleaseNotes

Your chats shouldn't start from zero. Projects are live in Osaurus. Related chats share one set of instructions, knowledge, and memory. Tell one agent your bench max. Ask a different agent on a different model. It knows. Free and open source: github.com/osaurus-ai/osaurus

I came first in the Clacton by-election! Of the candidates who bothered to turn up for the results. Here is my victory speech!

This is so cool. 🦖
