Are you and your family being affected by the rising cost of health care? Was your small business impacted by Trump’s reckless tariffs? Are you no longer able to afford groceries due to cuts to SNAP benefits? I want to hear your story.

Since the start of Trump's reckless war in Iran, gas prices have soared, costing families across CA-28 an additional $175 MILLION. That’s an extra $693 per family. Americans didn’t ask to shoulder the cost of a war at the pump.

When I was a student, I learned about the rich history and resilience of our Asian American community, and how the “model minority” myth hides the real educational disparities our community faces.

I have carried those lessons with me and remain committed to supporting and funding minority serving institutions, such as UCLA, that open doors for so many AANHPI students.

I’m grateful for our election workers who are working tirelessly to facilitate our free and fair election and are making sure your ballot counts.

Since Trump took office, American families have had to spend an additional $915 on housing costs. In CA-28, it's $1,389. That's money that could be going to groceries, child care, medical care, and savings. Trump promised Americans an end to inflation. The numbers tell another story.

Yesterday, I was proud to stand with Eaton Fire survivors organizing, advocating, and bringing forward new ideas as we fight to recover and protect the community we love.

Two years after the Eaton Fire devastated our community, two in three survivors remain displaced. Yet, Trump and Republicans have failed to deliver the federal funding needed to rebuild.

We need to continue to explore all tools and innovation available to us so that our communities can be fully supported in their return home.

It is always a badge of honor to receive a perfect score on the @hrc.org’s congressional scorecard for protecting equal rights. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ I will always stand up for the LGBTQ+ community, and will continue to fight against discrimination.

It was a pleasure to join Chinese American Construction Professionals (CACP) in San Gabriel for their 44th Annual Awards Banquet!

After the Eaton Fire devastated Altadena, their members have been helping businesses reopen and families break ground on new homes, bringing our community closer to recovery. And, they help people get connected to good, skilled jobs in construction all across our region.

‼️One Week Left‼️ Attention all the young CA-28 coders: You have one week left to apply to the Congressional App Challenge and use your creativity and skills to create your own unique app/code. Show us your vision for the future of technology! The deadline to apply is October 26.

As a former community college professor, I have seen firsthand how higher education can change lives. For 20 years, CAP has guided underserved students and their families through college preparation, applications, and financial aid - at no cost.

Every student should be able to pursue their dreams, and I’ll keep working to make college affordable and accessible to all.

What we witnessed was appalling, and consistent with the neglect I have been sounding the alarm about for the past decade: filthy living conditions, dirty water, moldy food, tattered mattresses, and inadequate medical care.

It was a pleasure to join the National Asian Pacific Center on Aging for their Benefits Education & Vaccine Outreach Event. NAPCA helps AANHPI seniors in our community understand their coverage and enroll in the benefits, in the languages they speak.

Everyone deserves to understand and access their health care. I'll keep fighting in Congress to lower costs and make sure every member of our community can get the care they need.

Congratulations to @caltech.edu's Markus Meister and Mitchell Guttman on receiving an NIH Pioneer and Transformative Research Award! This funding recognizes and empowers trailblazing scientists to pursue transformative research that will change biomedical and behavioral science as we know it.

I am proud to represent some of our country’s greatest minds in Southern California, and I will always be committed to supporting the next generation of researchers.

For more than a decade, I’ve seen the conditions at Adelanto ICE Detention Center firsthand: dirty water, mold, inedible food, and medical neglect that has cost lives. I joined @aljazeera.com to share the truth of what detainees are enduring in ICE custody.

My heart is with the students, families, and entire Bend, Oregon community after yesterday’s shooting at Silver Rail Elementary, where three children and a teacher were killed.

No child should fear going to school. No teacher should fear for their life. No parent should have to wonder if their child will come home. Our children deserve more than thoughts and prayers. They deserve action. We cannot continue to accept gun violence as a fact of life.

I was thrilled to join Carnegie Institution for Science in Pasadena to celebrate one of science’s greatest discoveries, made at Mount Wilson Observatory in our San Gabriel Mountains: the Milky Way is just one galaxy among countless others!

That's why I introduced a resolution designating October 5th as "National Beyond the Milky Way Day," honoring Edwin Hubble, Henrietta Leavitt, and the generations of scientists who made this discovery possible.

Domestic violence affects every community. About 1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men experience intimate partner violence in their lifetime. Yet far too many cases go unreported.

This Domestic Violence Awareness Month, I stand with survivors and reaffirm my commitment to ensuring they have the resources and support they need. If you or someone you know is experiencing abuse, help is available. Visit thehotline.org or call 800-799-SAFE (7233) for free, confidential support.

Now through December 7, Medicare beneficiaries can review their coverage, compare plans, and make changes for 2027. Any changes made during Open Enrollment will take effect on January 1, 2027. For more information, visit: Medicare.gov or call 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227).

This weekend, I was proud to join the American Cancer Society of Southern California’s Relay for Life to honor survivors, remember those we've lost, and stand with families impacted by cancer.

No one should have to choose between lifesaving treatment and financial security. I'm fighting in Congress to expand early detection, improve access to treatment, and ensure every patient gets the care they deserve. Together, every step we take brings us closer to a future without cancer.

These records document generations of AANHPI history, from the Chinese Exclusion Act to Japanese American incarceration. Moving them thousands of miles away puts that history out of reach for the very communities it belongs to.

‼️FYI: Potential Public Safety Power Shutoffs for SCE Customers‼️ Due to high winds, Southern California Edison has issued a Red Flag Warning for L.A. County, including Altadena, La Cañada Flintridge, East Pasadena, and its surrounding areas from 6AM Thursday until 10PM Friday.

Gas prices have topped $4 a gallon nationally for a record 158 days this year. Trump's war in Iran has cost American households $2,000 each. Inflation hit a 4-month high last month.

"Trump has no one to blame but himself for his broken promises and economic failures, and the American people know it." Ranking Member @congressmanboyle.bsky.social on today's inflation data:

Nearly two years into Trump's second term, with Republicans controlling the House & Senate, this is the economic reality facing American families.

This weekend, I joined the 28th Annual Pasadena Latino Heritage Festival to celebrate the culture, music, and food that make our Latino community shine!

To our immigrant families and all the unsung heroes - the day laborers, street vendors, caregivers, and everyone who keeps our neighborhoods running - thank you. Pasadena is stronger because of you, and I’ll never stop fighting for you.
