This is Good Stuff. You’ll thank me in the morning. deanblundell.substack.com/p/saturday-s...

And in closing on this tragic occurrence, I'll say that CapStar lives up to it's name: it capped the lives of the fleas AND it capped MY CAT! Nothing in the documentation indicated that this was even possible. In fact, multiple doses were recommended.

ONE dose did my little girl in, and she was well within the guidelines of weight and age. Butters, our other patient with issues similar, is holding on. Will keep a close eye on his progress, but I am sad beyond belief to have lost so many friends.

Both she and Morty crossed the Rainbow Bridge alone, with no one there to share and comfort them. That’s what we’re HERE FOR. In three days we lost TWO of our rescues. I’ll obviously miss both and I’m not able to process any of this right now. Just want to sleep and hope they visit me in my dreams.😓

Sitting another hour… eventually opted to just leave, because we were still “next”! An hour drive back and he’s starting to come around, poked his head up out of the carrier, looking around like his usual self. Yaaay! Got home and Valentine was found dead on the kitchen floor.😿

Continuing on with the saga, Butters’ condition demanded a 1 hour drive to the Vet that’s open on weekends. Got there. For two hours we were “next”, yet we watched others walk in get taken cared of immediately. Finally in an exam room and he’s brought back in from initial data-gathering.

The Vet recommended Capstar chewable tabs to kill the fleas on the body in combination with the topical. Those nuggets are draining him dry. Ok, drive an hour to get them. Administered to Watson, Butters, Valentine, ButtrrnutSquash & Lola. Later, this was observed:

Well, it’s been an “interesting” few days, and by “interesting” I mean “notable” and not in good way. I’ll start from Wednesday’s attempt to get Watson’s temp under control. His ears were hot. At the Vet, he was diagnosed as anemic brought on by the current fleademic we’re are fighting.

Named 30 years ago. One wonders.....

SO, I got corrected at breakfast this morning and the aforementioned erasure of the traitorous felon's ugly ballroom is to rebuild The Whitehouse East Wing from the ground up according to the original architect drawings. Put it back the way it was intended. Not broken. Didn't need fixing.

I feel strongly that once the traitorous orange felon is finally ushered out the Whitehouse door for the last time, we should get behind an initiative to tear down the above ground portions of his ugly ballroom and rebuild the West Wing from the original drawings. Completely erase him from memory.

My first of hopefully many...

“Impressed” is insufficient to describe this.

Did we somehow fall into an alternate timeline?

Need to write about my experiences on Subdtack: substack.com/@johnsonized...

DARN! Missed #Caturday again. Here's one of our recent rescue kittens becoming alarmed at Sterling, one of our grown juveniles, outside the Kittenenclosure. His ridgeback is impressive.

No, you're not seeing double. 4 of the new rescues: Snow Drift & his twin sister on a fleece blanket. Junior [looks just like his mom] & [no name yet] on the arm of the Adirondack chair. Still working on getting their eyes cleaned, being stuck shut from bad colds - but they're all getting better.

Perfect... #cats 3 of 12 of our new rescues snoozing on dad's lap in the Kittenclosure. What better way to start a Sunday than being so trusted by new arrivals that they fall asleep on you?

It's #Caturday ! We saved 12 🐈 lives this week. 2 feral moms, 10 kittens between them. 2 are albinos. Built a separate enclosure. Got them all washed. No fleas! All kittens have colds with stuck shut eyes and plugged noses, requiring repeat cleaning. Video feed if we can figure out RTSP.

Visit our BlueSky Rescues account: @bengalmania.org Stray, abandoned, orphaned, injured, desperate, hungry, scared - we take them in. Give them a home, medical care, love and gain their trust. They give back more than we can ever say, and we are ever thankful. bengalmania.org 501(c)(3) non-profit

It's #Caturday ! Amber, one of our smallest rescues 🐱, nestled into mommy's fluffy chair blanket. She's so sweet. She greets me at the bottom of the stairs every morning, stands up as tall as she can and implores me to join her for breakfast. 🍵 🐈 Can't pass that up.

Get 'em While They're HOT!

Get 'em while they're HOT.

It's #Caturday ! Butters caught a Mouse! He's s Kurilian Bobtail. The breed originated in Russia. Rare within the US. He's my guardian. First thing in the morning when I open the window to the cat flap, he goes out into the kittenclosure to make sure it's all safe for everyone to go out.

I have a very bad feeling about this...

Our long-standing Allegany Artisans Studio Tour, on the 18th and 19th, now end up coinciding with No Kings #2. As such, we'll have to be in the glass studio hotshop, as opposed to showing our support. Rest assured, we do and we'd be there if we could. bsky.app/profile/glas... glasssculpture.org

It's #caturday ! Our Winky returned home. Her sister Zot misses her, searching through the house. Later, as our grief subsides some, we'll go out to our hotshop and blow a glass kittyface urn for her ashes. Right now, I know we'd not be able to get very far before our vision would be obscured.

Happy #TunaTuesday from Watson, who's decidedly had his share of Tuna! After grabbing this I tried for a really great shot that captured his full shadow stretching across the floor toward me, but was beseged by many other #cats "helping" by sequentially getting in the frame and ruining it. #catsky

It's #Caturday - Moonlight 🐈 Stressing Out Again Turned from doing the dishes and met with this. What a hoot. Takes the stress out of one's day. (He isn't, so why should we be?) We're dealing with Covid-19 here, picked up at #WorldCon during our #HUGOs delivery. Gotta take the bad with the good.

It’s Caturday! If I fits, I sits.

It’s Caturday! Lola watching BirdTV.

"There's no good art anymore" is such an upside down looney tunes ass opinion when we're surrounded by people making amazing shit all the time on here. There's no good art? Get better at searching. Good lord.
