I truly do not understand why no one in power can provide push back at Donald Trump and his unconstitutional chaos. We the People are being railroaded into a fascist state. We do not want this to happen. But who can stop this madness?

A lawmaker and her husband were murdered. A senator and his wife nearly killed. The suspect had a hit list. And what did we do? We blamed each other. We justified. We spun. Political violence isn’t coming—it’s here. And we’re normalizing it. adamkinzinger.substack.com/p/political-...

dlvr.itHow Trump’s 'constant flip-flops' are creating chaos and instability: analysisLess than a week after praising Tesla/SpaceX/X.com leader Elon Musk as a valuable ally during a White House press event, President Donald Trump was angrily railing against him on social media. Musk attacked Trump's "big, beautiful bill" as a "disgusting abomination," and the president accused him of having "Trump derangement syndrome." And Trump is making it clear that he is "very disappointed" in the world's richest man. In an article published by the conservative website The Bulwark on June 9, journalist Jill Lawrence argues that Trump's feud with Musk is only one example of him flip-flopping. And Trump's "constant flip-flops," she warns, are contributing to a climate of instability in the United States. Lawrence observes, "There's no escaping the pattern in this run of recent headlines: 'Trump reverses plan to close more than 30 mine safety offices,' 'Here are the 22 times he’s changed his mind on tariffs,' 'Trump reverses USDA office closures'…. That was all in less than a week." READ MORE: 'Can't you just shoot them?' Inside Trump's threat to deal with 'radical left thugs' in America But all these flip-flops, she laments, aren't hurting Trump with his MAGA base even though they're bad for the United States. "To longtime political observers, by which I mean those of us so old we remember pre-MAGA times, it seems strange that the constant flip-flops have not ruined, scarred, or even dented Trump," Lawrence explains. "Nothing has, and nothing probably will, as we've seen all too often. In this case, maybe it's because everyone already knows he's so deeply flawed, or because his decisions are so terrible that flipping in a different direction is all to the good. Especially if you're a savvy financial player who buys low every time a Trump-made disaster strikes." Lawrence describes Trump's flip-flopping as "whiplash as a way of life." "Even before Musk brandished a chainsaw, moved fast and broke much of the government," Lawrence writes, "no one paying even an iota of attention would have expected Trump to be a model…. of careful consistency. Still, the speed and significance of the reversals has been shocking, and they appear to be standard operating procedure." My dad, who has lived under a dictatorship, knows one when he sees one. His first text this morning is that we are now officially in a dictatorship. It is all pretty grim.

“What the heck’s the commissioner of Social Security?" That's a real question from Frank Bisignano...the commissioner of Social Security. Millions of Americans depend on Social Security. They should be able to trust that the head of the agency even knows what the job is.

And what did killing 2 innocent people do to advance his cause? It just makes the people who support freeing Palestine look like terrorists. Which is what this individual is - a terrorist who committed a hate crime.

I’m horrified by the murder of two Israeli embassy staffers at an event in DC last night. The fact that the gunman said he did it to “free Palestine” makes me nauseous. Murdering people for their nationality is never acceptable and this violence hurts Jews, Israelis, *and* Palestinians.

I called my senators today and told them I want Cory Booker to be the senate minority leader. We can’t hold hearings. We don’t have subpoena power. We can’t pass budgets. But we CAN filibuster, and we CAN change party leadership.

Was able to speak for a while this morning as @booker.senate.gov enters Hour 13 of holding the Senate floor. With two glasses of water and sheer determination, he’s telling the world that America is fighting back against this President. Go Cory!

Today Senator Booker is my hero.

The New York Times@nytimes.com

Senator Cory Booker spoke in an all-night session on the Senate floor early Tuesday, in an effort to seize the national spotlight and criticize the Trump administration's policies for Social Security, education and health care. He was still speaking in the predawn hours.

What kind of people do this? Where is their decency to their fellow human being? It is all so despicable.

You know the old saying “dumb as a box of rocks?” I don’t think we can say that anymore. Compared to the Trump administration that box of rocks have PHD’s. Let’s all say Signalgate.
