also not lost on me that as democratic socialists are winning some elections, a new red scare targeting anarchists, antifascists, and their allies is digging in hard, and today handed down 30, 50, and 100 year prison sentences to activists and organizers

The goal of the "Antifa" charges is to terrorize people out of standing up for each other when federal agents descend on a community to do violence to it. We must stand by one another. The 15 people charged are alleged to be participants in Black Cat Workers Collective and Direct Action Minnesota.

I just finished reading the indictment. There are 276 statements in it. The overwhelming majority seem to be accusing the defendants of being involved in organizing blockades and of being anarchists. There is one claim that one defendant kicked a police car...

One Nation’s Pauline Hanson is appearing at the National Press Club on Tuesday. This isn’t a test for Hanson, we know she’ll talk BS. This is a test for Canberra’s journalists. They'll be intimidated. They won't go hard. They'll fail. The Gish Gallop. ⬇️ #auspol #insiders #OneNation #NPC

The fear Pauline Hanson is selling is not yours. It was manufactured for you, at a cost to others you will never fully see. The first act of political freedom is to recognise the manufacture. The second is to refuse the product. blakandblack.com/2026/06/15/f...

1996 speech by Paul Keating even more relevant in 2026: "The real danger in her ideology was not merely the prejudice, but the myth of the monoculture"—the dangerous idea that Australia could somehow retreat to a simpler, uniform version of itself and avoid engaging with the rest of the world."

All they want to be is Irish... in Belfast?

Kilmeade to an agreeing Markwayne Mullin: "In Belfast they're standing up because their leaders have let them down. They're trying to take their country back. They want to label them as racist. All they want to be is Irish. They want Ireland back. I see a lot of the same fights here."
